Hal milk, Half cream - true coffee cream is not half milk. "Creamers" like coffeemate are a whole different ballgame - made fom edible oils. If your concern is using half and half in a recipe, it may depend on what exactly the recipe is. I often use half and half in place of cream (less calories) and it works just fine.

No it is not the same. Half and Half is half milk and half heavy cream. Coffee Creamers such as Coffeemate are made of Soy Oil with Sodium Casienate (a derivative of milk).

half and half is like creamer only richer and more natural, it h&h is half cream half milk while creamer can have alll kinds of wierd stuff in it
