OK, so the season is really kicking into full throttle now. Christmas is 3 days away and then a week for New Years. Forget about not pigging out. Indulge and worry about it after the New Year.

Best way is to eat something low-calorie but filling before you get all the food in front of you. Some air-popped popcorn (without all the extras) can hit the spot, as can some toast. As far as desserts go, make sure you go with a certain sweets limit in mind - something above zero, but less than a whole pie. If you go with the idea that you won't eat any, if you slip up at all, you'll suddenly find yourself eating everything. Try to fill up on the main course - turkey or whatever your family has. Oh, almost forgot, drink a lot of water before you go.

Just try and cut down the portions that you are serving yourself. And when you feel full you should really stop eating. A lot of times you know how good the dinner is, that you cant help to eat more even though you could explode any minute!

Happy Holidays.

drink a large glass of water before during and after dinner, and eat the salad or what ever low calorie food first and put more vegetables than fattening foods on your plate and use a smaller plate bring your own if you are eating with family or close friends. get a small plate or saucer and put a spoonful of every desert or small pieces of cake and after 6 o'clock in the evening don't eat anymore until the next day but eat a little of the things you like don't deprive yourself and get a little extra exercise maybe take a walk after dinner.

When you’re at a party try to pick the healthier foods (for example fill half of your plate with salad, one fourth with potatoes/rice/ect, and the other one fourth with what you want). Try not to drink a lot of alcohol, instead try to drink water. When it comes to dessert try the 3-Bite rule. You can have dessert, as long as you only have the bites (Glamour magazine). Also try to exercise for at least 20 minutes a day. Good luck and happy holidays!!!

Drink lots and lots of tea and water (no booze or eggnog!). You'll be full of liquid and won't have an appetite for lots of food, provided you do it consistently. Also, eat "good" holiday foods like brussels sprouts, waldorf salad, etc.

Be like Scarlett O'Hara....eat at home (wholesome, low-fat) before you go out...then you can have 'bites' of stuff to try when you are out visiting, but won't end up eating the whole cheese ball if it tastes good!

it's actually really hard not to pig out
but if you really want to not, just try to stay under control
you can eat junky food, just don't eat a lot of it ya know?
and if you do eat a lot, just eat healthy and excersize (sp?) after the holidays:)
have fun and happy holidays!

I think you should pig-out this year. As long as you had a healthy diet before and after then go for it!

Stay home so you won't be tempted. One cookie and it's all downhill from there.
