I would say the variety of mammal (nearly 5000 mammal species living today) from the duck billed platypus to the kangaroo, wombat, zebra, whale, tapir, or mouse is anything but boring.
When it comes to size, the 150-ton blue whale—the world’s largest mammal—weighs 9.6 million times more than the smallest, the half-ounce, bumblebee-sized Kiito’s hog-nosed bat.
I would say there is no lack of imagination in that. I would say the differences rejects the theory of evolution in fact.

I don't think it shows lack of imagination on God's part....everyone's fingerprints are unique; not to mention their DNA; that's the imagination God has. Evolution?....no.....we'd all be pretty much the same as everyone else; not incredibly unique as we are!
