Of course it is alright for you to make the first move. If he is really shy then you will have to make the first move but at the same time don't put too much pressure on him. Give him time and he will come around.
As for him not calling there is a good chance that he is a very busy person and just wasn't able to find the time to call the last couple of days. It doesn't mean anything.

Honey, if he hasn't called in 4 days and he's just shy it sounds like too much work to me. But I'm leaning towards the idea that he's not interested.
As for the hand holding thing find a guy who really likes you and all that stuff will come naturally.

May be in the begining we are shy but not all of us. I think a girl should be happy if her boy friend is a bit shy coz that mean he has not been trying other girls otherwise he would be an expert. I assure you by my personal experience there are many girls who can easily make the first move. If a guy is not calling you for few days there could be some other reasons too.

I'm not quite sure how old you are but I do believe age makes a difference. For younger people like teenagers under 17... girls making the first move is probably a little too forward for guys and they probably feel like your trying to pressure them. But for older people the guy is just immature. But I'm guessing your a little younger so my best advice for you is keep your options open you have tons of time to tend to one person.

I'm a girl But i know that guys are just stupid like that. They don't wanna look stupid in fornt of their friends. you can make the first move but thik about it. If a guy is too shy don't you think you should move on to a guy more outgoing?

Boy can be spineless jellyfish when it comes to comfort about showing affection, especially with someone that they truly care for. It took my boyfriend 6 months from the time we first met to the time he asked me out to dinner for our first date. The best thing to do if he's have trouble showing affection is just wrap your arms around his neck and ram your tongue into his mouth. Repeat as needed, and his shyness will be gone before you know it.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Try holding his hand. He may be relieved you made the first move. Especially if he's shy.

he needs to get comfortable around you it sounds like. maybe he doesnt know if thats what you want him to do or not. if he makes a nistake, he might lose you. give him time and as for the calling, just tell him you'd LOVE to talk to him on the phone sometime, or not to be affraid of calling.
its the 21st right? 4 more days!
