It's the origin of creation, we're all here thanx to that, animals do it ( with no shame lucky bastards) yet there's so much taboo and mystery around it.

I dont think sex or pro-creation is truly taboo in any culture...if it was the culture would die out.

Sex outside of the laws or rules is often taboo...but there is still lots of sex. Now if you wanted to ask about "good sex" that might be an altogether different issue as well.

I think you have made a false statement for the basis of your question. Most cultures, and religion, don't consider sex a taboo, but rather something very sacred and important, something that should not be thrown around and disrespected. The reason this is the case is because sex, or the power of creation, is the closest act to be being godlike we can enter into. As such, he expects us to not treat it lightly. At the same time, he has made it extremely enjoyable and fun, thereby making it something people will actually do.

In Islam sex is an encouraged practice, but after marriage. If someone says sex is taboo in most religions, s/he most likely means sex outside or before marriage.

Now why it is taboo before marriage? It has many many reasons. It's just not the way humans should live. As you said, it befits the animals to do it, not humans. Funny when some humans (!) compare beast activities with human activities and try to approve it.

It's the funniest when homosexuals try to approve their grossest practices by referring to animals that animals do it too! When people do evil deeds, the Devil makes their activities look right and logical in their eyes, by infusing illogical and dumb reasons

I don't know the answer to that question, but I can tell you what I think. I think that sex can be a beautiful thing & I respect the fact that it is the origin of creation, but I think that today alot of people don't think of it that way at all. Too many people have too much time on their hands or they are just plain perverts & have distorted sex & turned it into something cheap & raunchy. When people fixate on sexual images & use it for disgusting perverted tendencies, or to sell a product, or just to get attention that's when it becomes a problem. It gets to be annoying when that's all you see. Also, isn't it supposed to be something special between a two people?

God's first command to mankind was, "Go and have sex." (Be fruitful and multiply). Paul said, "The marriage bed is not defiled." So, where did you get the idea that religion considers sex as taboo? Oh! Do you mean adultery, fornication, homosexual activity, or doing it with animals. Yeah. TABOO!

Da Vinci's Revolution hit the nail on the head.

Note that it is mostly patriarchal cultures and societies that consider sex to be so.

Though there must be an addendum. Sex itself is not taboo, per se, but rather sex "before marriage."

This is, largely thanks to the idiot Aristotle, a way in which females can be controlled. Historically, males in Western-minded (i.e. patriarchal) cultures have been less condemned (socially) due to premarital sex. This has not been the case for females. Female sexuality has been seen as something to be controlled and stifled--largely due to fear. This archaic remnant of patriarchy forms the fabric of modern Western-minded society. Such sexual restrictions cannot be found in matriarchal cultures.

who told u it's a taboo, well it's NOT. For example in islam sex is considered as a basic instinct in the human and completely respects it that's why it's only a taboo if it's premarital, otherwise it is not,i think that's the difference between us and animals,we have to regulate our needs as food,sex,.....etc. or else we should be named animals not humans..

Sex isn't taboo. It is a gift.

However, if mis-used, it becomes a source of great danger.
That is what we are warned about.

Disease, STDs (including one of the most common, HPV), heartbreak, un-wanted pregnancy, poverty.

There was no such thing as penicillin in biblical times!
Only warnings against unwise choices and actions.

I can not speak for many cultures and religions, but I can speak for my religion. The Bible encourages sex within marriage. And husbands and wives are commanded to have intercourse regularly to keep their desires under control (See 1 Corinthians 7). In facts, God first commandment to man was to be fruitful and multiply. (See Genesis 1:27-29) But it does restrict the MISUES of sex.
