There are supposed to be sensors where you place your feet & it can tell your fat ratio "using a harmless electronic current ."

I says it "measures body fat for a more complete picture of your total health" & "Measures weight, changes in weight and calculates body fat percentage"

Has anyone used this? Does it work?

I'm considering getting it because I am doing a lot of weight lifting as well as starting a diet after the holidays.

So I will be gaining muscle as I lose fat.

I want a scale that will tell me if that 5 pound weight loss means I lost 10lb fat & gained 5 lb muscle OR just lost 5 lb fat.

It's using a techology called "bioelectrical impedence" that measures your muscle and fat content by sending that electric current through your body.

I am a HUGE fan of these tests. If your body fat is at a healthy percentage, who cares what your weight is. Guaranteed, your healthier and more energetic than anybody else out there. Those weight charts are only a guideline. They don't even work for professional athletes. Most of those athletes are considered obese by those charts!

Seriously, we've all seen guys that were ripped and 230 pound, and women that were super tight and weighed 135 pounds. It doesn't matter what you weight, focus on loosing body fat until you get into a healthy range, and you'll get the results your looking for!

water displacement is the only accurate way because muscle is more dense than fat. Its an OK replacement tho.
