Personally, I liked the beaches on O'ahu the best. Waikiki beach was really disappointing though. Hanauma Bay is the best place I found for snorkeling. The Big Island doesn't have bad beaches either. Most of the time you can just pull off the road and hit a beach and it's great. Have fun!

Oahu- Kaneohe beaches near rabbit island for napping, sunset beach for big surf
Maui- kalapaki for imported sand, paia for windsurfing, hana for beauty
Kauai- anahola for beauty and small surf, kealia and hanalei for people watching, Ke'e for surfing, Kapa'a for kite-surfing, waimea for dark sand
