No - it's not - it has a developer that you mix with it. This developer will cause lift - check the back of the box - it should show you three different "natural" shades of color and then what each of those will look like once they've been colored. If you still with a level that is close to your natural shade it shouldn't "lift" too much. But for example if you take a box of blonde color and put it on someone with dark brown hair - it will lift the color just enough to make Orange. If you're looking for "deposit only" the box should say "semi-permanent" or "demi-permanent" color. Anything that says "permanent" on it will not deposit only. Hope this helps!

If you don't want to lift your color...use a level 10 creme devolper.

Jet black hair. I have truly dark brown hair and I consider dark hair looks better. I don't really like blonde hair.

if you have blonde hair it will naturally get bleached by the particular sun in the summer. There had been this guy in my class who else had golden blonde hair that was a medium brown near the bottom. When he came back to university after summer vacation, it was almost platinum blonde!
