Cut an arm off?
They say that any diet or other weight loss program that makes you lose more than 2 pounds a week is unhealthy, but I've lost 5 pound in the first week of a strict diet combined with exercise. But just the first week & that was on a strict diet.

Well........ 10 pounds doesn't seem like much but if you over eat a lot and do not exercise it can be very difficult to lose 10 pounds.
Ok start of by trying to eat less and eat healther foods. Next, try to get in at least an 1 hour to 2 hours of exercise a day. Then, make sure you have an accurate weighing thing( sorry i cant think of the name of it right now, but you know what im trying to say!:o] ) so you can record how much you had lost that day.
Remember you are trying to lose 10 pounds in a week so don't to slack in your exercise and healthy eating, but then agian don't push your selve to hard.

If you could lose 10 pounds a week without dieting, I think everyone would be skinny....Losing 3-5 lbs a week is healthiest for your body...but you will have to diet

Most of the answers you've received are crap. It's UNHEALTHY to lose 10 lbs a week, just ask any dietician. A healthy range to lose every week is 1-2 lbs, but once you start losing more than 2 lbs a week you're losing muscle, not fat.
Eat healthy, excercise smart, have a healthy mind-set about where your weight SHOULD be (not where you'd like it to be!) and you'll get there. It's going to take time though, since there are no magic pills or cures!

10 lbs a week is way to much. You would literally have to starve yourself and more than likely you will put the weight back on.
You should shoot for 2 lbs a week. Easy to do. Cut all your calories in half. Avoid fattening foods, fried foods, sugar, cakes, cookies, pies, non diet sodas.
Drink LOTS of water. Exercise. Eat plenty of fresh veggies, fruits and whole grains like brown rise, etc. Good luck.

You don't. It didn't take you a week to put on 10 pound, so it's not going to take just a week to take it off. If you tried to loose that much in a week, you'd end up starving yourself, cannibalizing your muscles, and ending up in worse shape than you started.
Go slow and steady. 1-2 pounds a week is good.
