I think my friend is a backstabber ... what to do?

I know this guy ever since i was 7, and now i am 16. We started to share our secrets a while ago, maybe 3 years ago. A week ago i told him that i started to like a certain girl,that i fell in love with her.I had a fight with this girl a year ago. I started to get my friendship with her restored, hoping for more.
I gave her messenger id to my best friend, because it`s like a ritual for us, he gives me all his contacts also. Or used to.But i found out with disgust that he started to flirt with her immediately after i gave him the id !!! He said that he will help me get her, but instead HE flirts with her. I am very worried, as the new year`s eve party is fast approaching, the both the backstabber and the girl i love are invited.I`ll be there also. I`m sure that he will try to get her for himself. He is much of a pimp, he always gets any girl he wants. I am not as talented as him with girls. Why the hell does he want exactly the girl i fell in love with??? THE BASTARD ... "bestfriend" :(

That's just how best friends work.

The only solution here is to give it your best and beat him. A sneaky thing you can do is call her up and ask her out BEFORE the party. In short, set him up for failure. After you drop her off from the party, jump your best friend and punch him in the kidney while yelling "i owned your face"

tell her u want to go to the party as her date and if she say yes then theirs no way he's got a chance but if she say no then it was ment to be and u have to move on, but at least you will kno the truth
