if you decided you'd just be friends, don't make a move on her at the movies. Reason being: if she reacts badly, you can't talk about it because movies are a bad place to chat. She may also be polite and let you put your arm around her, but at the same time may not want it there, making her extremely uncomfortable. don't put her in that position. go to the movie, have fun, and talk about the "friend" issue afterward. If the conversation goes bad or awkward, at least it's the end of the night and you can just leave! good luck!

Just act like you would with one of the guys. Don't do anything to lead her on or give her mixed signals. Don't put your arm around her, don't get too close, etc. Just joke around and have fun. Be careful not to hurt her feelings. At some point you should share your intentions with her, so she doesn't get confused.

If she just wants to be friends then don't push her, don't put your arm around her, don't hold her hand. Unless you are ready for the knock back, not saying this would happen but would you not be upset if you went out tried to put your arm around her and she removes it while say ' we talked about this I thought you understood'

Go out, laugh make jokes, enjoy the movie (unless its a bad movie in which case you can joke about that after)and show her how much fun you can be, and what she is missing out on.

just be yourself, don't push it and you never know she might realise what she is missing if you just be her friend for now. at least for now

If she wants to be just friends... than you should honor her wishes. Like everyone says a girl just wants someone to listen to her. In the long run it will probably end up helping you because if she sees that you have granted her wishes by just being her friend she may decide that that is a quality that she would like in a boyfriend. Just play it cool, be yourself but in a non chalant kinda way. She'll come around! Good luck to you.

Just sit and watch the movie. She might feel uncomfortable if you put your arm around her. That would indicate that it is a date and it is not, it is just two friends going to a movie together.

I think it depends on how close your friendship is.

Do you usually hug when you see each other or when you say good-bye? If so, then putting your arm around her might not be bad. It would be a big-brothery sort of thing to do.

But, if you do not have a relationship that already involves touching, then it would not be friendly to introduce it right now. You would be sending her a mixed message.

Best of luck and enjoy the movie.

You write you both decided to stay friends. Go to the movie. Have a good time and relax. Read her feelings and body language. If it seems like she would welcome holding hands or leaning in for an arm around her shoulders, go for it. The trick is to concentrate on her and what signals she may give you. If you sense none, just have a good time. Who knows what may happen the next time?

I think that if she offered the friendship, then that is what she wants, which means no contact that you would do with a girlfriend, you'll just end up pushing her away, however this would be a prime time to tell her that you like her, & would like to keep you in mind for the future of dating.

Don't push it because that will make her uncomfortable. I know it is really hard because you do have feelings for her, but if it is ment to be it will be. If she said she only likes you as a friend, maybe work on your friendship, and she will realize she like you more than she thought. Good luck.

Friends...be just that...keep your hands to yourself..restrain yourself and have enough respect for her and her decision. Open doors for her and be a gentlemen but anything more then that is off limits or she will close the door on you.
