I thought limewire was where you could download music, but now my friend is telling me that you can't download the music unless someone sends it to you, and that it isn't free (which I thought it was). So, basically what I'm asking is which one of us is right? Because I'd like to download it, I just want to know exactly what it is first.

limewire is share file,its free but u can download only the basic if ur going in pro i think u have to pay,then search the music u want and u can download it for free.just beware sometimes.lots of virus and adwadre.theres a folder for any1 who can share with it same with you if u start using limewire

Limewire is free, but it is also illegal, so be careful!! and yes, you can download music and other things off of it. I've heard that the government is finding people who are using it and charging them money!! My brother found a Chinese (I think it's Chinese) program to download music that no one really knows about it. You can look in Google or Yahoo for free music downloading program

I think that even though you do not have a ipod you can still download itunes like my house computer i have never connected my ipod and i have itunes there and i put the songs like in windows media player and in my moms laptop also has itunes but we use that one for my ipods (my moms and mine). Well what I am trying to say is that in limewire they steel songs from you and itunes they don't.

Limewire is free and no people don't send you the files, you search and download from files that are shared by other users.... unless they got nailed like napster and Kazaa.

I have lime wire and its the best I've ever used. Its free and you don't have to share anything. I have never had one problem with it. You can get a faster download for paying 18 dollars a year. Well worth it!

you can download the basic version for free and you do not have to pay for anything, nor does someone has to send the info to you. Just make sure you download the basic version which says free.

It can download files and music for free. My sister has a LimeWire 4.10 on her PC.

I know for a fact limewire is not free unless you have a hacker in your back pocket and I know that it cost 9.99 a month I use bearshare now it is easier and alot faster

he is lying you can download your own music...limewire is free with basic. anything more advanced to ensure there are no viruses in the files and quicker downloads you have to pay extra for.

I've been havin a couple of problems with Limewire too (but not like the ones your having)
Just get Bearshare - its quicker and easier.
