I bought a female persian kitten 1&half month back, I have taken special care of her by daily combing, cleaning her eyes & ears. Feeding her the best kitten food specially for persian kittens (ROYAL CANIN PERSIAN KITTEN 32) she weighs 1.5kgs.....BUT i have seen her brother today for the first time who was double her size & very lenghty hair & very quiet. His owner told me that he never took care of him never brushed him or gave him any vaccination....PLZZZZ TELL ME Y IS MY KITTY VERY SMALL N TINY IN FRONT OF HIM......

Don't worry, it sounds like you are taking good care of your little girl. She might be the runt of the litter, or her brother might be overweight. It sounds like whoever owns her brother needs a talking to about responsible pet ownership, but you needn't worry. Just keep doing what you're doing - it seems like you've done good research and you're responsible.

I commend you on your food choice. That is great food for your kitty.

Different kittens do grow at different rates. And as mentioned, males tend to be larger. As long as she is healthy, the size really shouldn't be a huge issue. You might have her checked for worms if she seems a little thin, or she eats tons but isn't getting bigger. Vaccinations are important too (I got the impression you took care of that already. Yay for responsible cat owners!)

If her health is in question for any reason, I'd suggest talking to a vet.

Males cats are usually significantly bigger than females. And like in a human family, it depends on the genes you inherit. Same lineage but a younger brother could grow to be 6 feet 4 inches and weigh 200 pounds while his older sister is only 5 feet 2 inches and weight a mere 105 pounds. Nothing odd of strange about it, that's just the way nature happens. Just make sure you continue to giver your baby the best you can, keep her healthy and happy--that's the important thing. Personally, I LOVE small kitties, easier to hold them in your arms.

I would say that most likely it is just because females are smaller then males I hav e5 5 week old kittens right now 3 males and 2 females and the males are visibly larger already!

It sounds like you're doing just fine. Is her brother fat? The caretaker for her brother may not be feeding the cat the best food. In the long run this can lead to health problems. Is he neutered? Fixing a male cat tends to make them larger. If he's not groomed his fur may also make him look bigger, since it's not brushed down.

You're a good kitty mommy, don't worry. ;)

Don't worry about it. Male cats are often larger than their female siblings. And while it's difficult to tell under the fur, the male might even be slightly overweight. Has she been taken for check-ups and shots? You sound like you love her very much.

I had an itty bitty female once -- she was about 2/3 the size of a regular cat. Perfectly healthy, just tiny build. Maybe the male is extra large too -- can't compare them.

Typically male cats are larger than female cats. I wouldn't worry about the size differences. Your cat for some reason ended up getting smaller genes than the other cat for some unknown reason.

Male cats are generally larger than females. You sound like you are doing a fine job caring for her. Just because she is small doesn't mean she isn't healthy.

first of all take into consideration that you have a female cat, i have a cat(female) and my sister has my cats brother (same litter) he is about double her size... and thank god you take such good care of your cat in the long run you will be glad you did and hopefully the people who have the male cat will re-consider that the cat needs vaccinations and brushings
