You might just have allergies but you could have a condition called Blepharitis. I know because I have it. Your eyelids can get puffy, itchy, red, & sometimes worse symtoms. I only get a little puffy, red & itchy at times. Go to an optamologist (doc can prescribe better meds. & do eye suguries), not an optometrist. An optamologist will be able to help you better. I know this because I was mis-diagnosed for 5 months by an optometrist. I went to three eye doctors before I went to this optamologist & now I am much better, smyptoms are not as bad. He prescribed an antihistime eye drop, antibiotic, & restasis. If you are more curious read my other questions about Blepharitis. Some people on here gave me alot of very useful/helpful information. My advice would be to go to the optamologist ASAP. Could be nothing to worry about, but it's better to be safe than sorry. If it is blepharitis it can get worse if you don't treat it.

First stop putting eye cream on them. It sounds like dermatitis, psoriasis or eczema. Go to you pharmacy and see if they have an over the counter hydrocortisone that is safe for the eye area, if not you may have to visit your doctor and he can prescribe a cream that might work. Protoptic is the newest in the creams for eczema and it works wonderfully especially on the eye area. Stop using cosmetics on your eyes as well unless they are hypoallergenic. Hope this helps and good luck.

Avoid strong shampoos like baby shampoo and dandruff products. Poly-tar used sparingly is good, also nizarol shampoo. When you wash the hair saturate the scalp properly first. This means you need less shampoo. Also rinse extremely well. It is often the remnants of the products on the hair that causes itchiness to the scalp.

Eyes may become red when foreign particles like dust and sand enter the eye.Avoid touching and rubbing the eye.
