Good luck Thomas... like the Muslims and Mormans there following the words of their false prophets as opposed to the word of God.

I too am a witness and I know how to answer your quesion. Let me make one thing clear, there isn't a versre in the bible that specificially says that Jesus and Micheal are the same being. You should know that Jesus is the first born of all creation John 1:1-10, Colossians 1:1-16. Revelations speaks about a war breaking out in heaven and Micheal and His angels throwing Satan and his angels out of heaven. Why would he have been needed if Jesus ( as in an authority ) has been crowned King ?
This is just another reference to the being that is Jehovah's son, remember that the name Micheal means "Who is like God " , Colossians 1:15 says that "Jesus " is the first born of all creation. What more fitting of a name then " Micheal ". Remember also that the name " Jesus ", means ' Jehovah is salvation '.
The other angels are worshipping Jesus because they KNOW who he is ,far better than any human that has ever existed, being as they were with Him and Jehovah before anything was created and they always knew that he was and is " the only begotten Son " they knew they were created by the Son.
I hope you don't take this wrong but before you start thinking someone is changing a word of scripture , you should at least know that the words " worship " and " obeisance " are one and the same . As technology and knowledge progress , clarification is needed and this is only an example of imperfect man correcting a misunderstanding.

It is difficult to clarify this teaching because its' origin is erroneous. Basically, The Watchtower Society teaches that Michael the archangel was Jehovah's first creation, then he ceased to be Michael when he became a perfect man for 33 years (Jesus). After his death on the "torture stake" he was resurrected and became Michael the archangel again (even though Jesus returned invisibly in 1914, or was it 1874?) Anyway, although there are five verses which mention Michael in the Holy Bible and the New World Translation, none of these verses declare him to be Jesus. In Daniel 10:13 Michael is referred to as a foremost prince. However, in Revelation 19:16 Jesus is referred to as "King of kings". Is a King not above a Prince? Jude 9 mentions that an archangel dare not bring accusation against the Devil. However as we all know Jesus indeed rebuked the Devil when he said "Away from me Satan." How could Jesus rebuke the Devil but Michael could not? These scriptures alone are transparent evidence that Jesus is not Michael the archangel, he is indeed superior to the angels, and angels do not worship other angels, they worship God. (Hebrews 1:6) The only reason they teach this is to lessen the importance of Christ and his true deity. This is a true sign of false religion.

The name this Michael (the archangel) appears only five times in the Bible. The glorious spirit person who bears the name is referred to as "one of the chief princes," "the great prince who has charge of your (Daniel's) people," and as "the archangel." (Dan. 10:13; 12:1; Jude 9, RS) Michael means "Who is like God?" The name evidently designates Michael as the one who takes the lead in upholding Jehovah's sovereignty and destroying God's enemies.
At 1 Thes. 4:16 (RS), the command of Jesus Christ for the resurrection to begin is described as "the archangel's call," and Jude 9 says that the archangel is Michael. Would it be appropriate to liken Jesus' commanding call to that of someone lesser in authority? Reasonably, then, the archangel Michael is Jesus. (Also, the expression "archangel" is never found in the plural in the Scriptures, thus implying that there is only one.)
Revelation 12:7-12 says that Michael and his angels would war against Satan and hurl him and his wicked angels out of heaven in connection with the conferring of kingly authority on Christ. Jesus is later depicted as leading the armies of heaven in war against the nations of the world. (Rev. 19:11-16) Is it not reasonable that Jesus would also be the one to take action against the one he described as "ruler of this world," Satan? (John 12:31) Daniel 12:1 (RS) associates the 'standing up of Michael' to act with authority with "a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time." That would certainly fit the experience of the nations when Christ as heavenly executioner takes action against them. So the evidence indicates that the Son of God was known as Michael before he came to earth and is known also by that name since his return to heaven where he resides as the glorified spirit Son of God.
Please note: These scriptures are from the Revised Standard Bible!

There isn't a scripture that tells who Michael is, but here is an interesting interpretation from the 1917 publication, The Finished Mystery, published by the Watchtower:
Revelation 12:7 "And there was war in heaven." - Between the two ecclestiastical powers, Pagan Rome and Papal Rome.
"Michael" - Who as God? The Pope.
"And his angels" - The Bishops ...
The explanation is given that Michael is the Pope and that Papal Rome defeated Pagan Rome and the Catholic cardinals then received the positions of power once held by Pagan Rome
This explanation is given in the 7th Volume of the Studies in the Scriptures and on page 295, the book says this:
"The Lord assumes an interest in and RESPONSIBILITY FOR the complete series of STUDIES IN THE SCRIPTURES,"
A thinking person might ask: If the Lord was responsible for interpreting "Michael" as The Pope, wouldn't he be displeased that Watchtower leaders changed the interpretation to mean Jesus?

It seems easiest to answer these questions in reverse order.
Jehovah's Witnesses fully understand and agree that Jesus Christ the Son (who is much more than a mere angel) deserves and receives what can be described as "worship", but only when the English-language word "worship" has been properly defined. The obeisance and honors due the Christ should remain unambiguously subject to the "exclusive devotion" which is owed to the Father, Jehovah God.
(Deuteronomy 5:6-9) I am Jehovah your God... You must never have any other gods against my face. 8 “‘You must not make for yourself a carved image, any form like anything that is in the heavens above or that is on the earth underneath or that is in the waters under the earth. 9 You must not bow down to them or be led to serve them, because I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion
Jehovah the Father specifically directs that Jesus the Son receive the honors described at Hebrews 1:6. What human or angel would resist the Almighty Jehovah? Interestingly, the verses immediately before that show that Jesus is at God's right hand and has *BECOME* better than the angels.
(Hebrews 1:6) [God] says: “And let all God’s angels do obeisance to him [Jesus].”
(Hebrews 1:3-4) [Jesus] sat down on the right hand of the Majesty in lofty places. 4 So he has become better than the angels
Many books of the bible describe Jesus as God's King; the title "King of Kings" denotes a kingship far superior to that of any human king. From where does Christ's authority come?
(Matthew 28:18) And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth.
(Acts 2:36) God made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you impaled.
(John 3:35) The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.
(Acts 5:31) God exalted this one as Chief Agent and Savior to his right hand
(Psalm 2:2-6) The kings of earth take their stand And high officials themselves have massed together as one Against Jehovah and against his anointed one... Jehovah himself will hold them in derision..., Saying: “I, even I, have installed my king [Jesus]
The bible teaches that the archangel Michael is the heavenly pre- and post-human Jesus. The term "archangel" is always in the singular, and actually means "Chief of the Angels".
Note that Jesus the Lord calls with an archangel's voice:
. (1 Thessalonians 4:14-16) Jesus died and rose again, so, too... the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel's voice
Note who leads angelic armies (Jesus is "Logos", "The Word"):
. (Revelation 19:13-14) the name he is called is The Word of God. Also, the armies that were in heaven were following him
. (Revelation 12:7) And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels battled
Who returns and stands up during a time of distress such as has never happened before?
. (Daniel 12:1) "And during that time Michael will stand up, the great prince who is standing in behalf of the sons of your people. And there will certainly occur a time of distress such as has not been made to occur since there came to be a nation until that time. And during that time your people will escape, every one who is found written down in the book.
. (Matthew 24:3-21) the disciples approached him [Jesus] privately, saying: "Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?" And in answer Jesus said to them: "...All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress. ...But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved. ...for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world's beginning until now, no, nor will occur again.
Once you study it, the bible really teaches that Jesus is Michael. Although anti-Witnesses sometimes pretend that Gabriel (and sometimes "Lucifer") are also archangels, the fact remains that the bible itself speaks of only one single solitary archangel. Who would be above Jesus among heavenly creatures?

Heb 1:5 For example, to which one of the angels did he ever say: “You are my son; I, today, I have become your father”? And again: “I myself shall become his father, and he himself will become my son”? 6 But when he again brings his Firstborn into the inhabited earth, he says: “And let all God’s angels do obeisance to him.”
Which angel? The Arch-angel.
1 Thess 4:16 because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice
Heb 1: 8 But with reference to the Son: “God is your throne forever and ever, and [the] scepter of your kingdom is the scepter of uprightness. 9 You loved righteousness, and you hated lawlessness. That is why God, your God, anointed you with [the] oil of exultation more than your partners.”
Jesus' God exults Jesus about all his other partners. (these partners are not a Godhead, because it is God how does the anointing.)
Being anointed means to be selected by someone higher to do their will.
Heb 1:3 He is the reflection of [his] glory and the exact representation of his very being,
Jesus is an image of God, not God.
Jesus is the exact representation of God, not God.
Satan blinds people so that they can not see that Jesus is God?
NO, he blinds people so that they can not see that Jesus is the image of God.
2 Cor 4:4 among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.
worship was changed to obeisance, because it fit the context of Hebrews chapter 1-8.

I talked a JW into giving me one of their "bibles." They use a different one, you know. In their book, the word Lord is changed to read "Jahovah." So, you can't debate them because their book has been corrupted to support all their heresies.
