Things that are spelled the same way forward and backward are called palendromes.Like: racecar, mom, wow, and lionoil. Then there are the ones like redrum, lived and some others. I dont know what those ones are. Fun, huh?

Those are called Palindromes.
Other examples:
"I prefer Pi"
"Ah, Satan sees Natasha"
"Evil Olive"

When it's an entirely different word when spelled backwards, it is called an emordnilap.
Example: devil/lived, rat/tar, etc.
