I already and 2 kids 11 and 3 years old. I was think of having my tubes tied. then i thought I might want another one in a few years.I dont want the pill,shot, or patch. What else would be good? Has anyone ever had an implant?

I have. I had the Mirena IUD inplant in September and it's worked really well. Before you have it put in, you have to talk to your OB and see if it's right for you. The IUD I have is good for up to 5 years. This birth control is easy and you don't have to remember anything. I think though, they suggest you wait 6 weeks, (after your uterus returns to normal size) to have it inserted. I would reccomend it to anyone. You probably need to talk to your OB about this though. If you are going to breastfeed, I think Mirena is safe for that too.

There is IUD, or the mirna (sp?) ring which is placed inside for a week at a time then the 4th week no ring etc, but that alot of hassle for going to the doctor. Go with the IUD they have updated it in the past couple of years.

I heard the implant works well. The most effective is to have your mate get a vasectomy. It is the safest. Then, when you want to have another baby, trade him for a newer model.

u can use condom thats the safest way
