I'd start out with finding out about Game Betas that are out for testing & Develop a history of Beta Testing Games (With giving Great Reports)
After you're able to deliver a history of Beta Testing Games with reports, create a resume with that info to send out to the major & minor Game developers, looking for further inroads to testing & creation of games.

Dont bother! you may think its a good idea now but the wages are awful. you could become a filing monkey and earn more. If you love playing video games, use Edge magazine to choose the best releases and buy them from your meager filing monkey earnings. Then its a leisure thing. As soon as you start turning something you enjoy into a job, you wont enjoy it any more. I once took two days to make sandwiches for other people.... now I cant stand to look a sandwich in the face.

Well you need to know about video game design, I would look into books about video game coding. You may think is cool to play video games all day but it is that easy anymore, your job would to be debug or point out the code that needs to be debugged.
Good luck.

ermm.. you do know that you will be testing a part of a game, not whole game. like a 5minute section over and over again for months looking for bugs and such. people think this is a great job.. you aint gonna like it.
