The rules governing speed bumps states that they must not exceed 100mm (4") in height over a distance of 1 metre (3'0") although the latest guidance noted suggests that a maximum of 75mm (3") is now advised. They also state that no traffic calming measure shall have a vertical face exceeding 13mm (1/2").

I don't know but in Co springs there a huge one in the middle of the road no warnings it's 2 feet after a four way stop lights.I'm wondering if it's an error on cities part. We're going 20, and the speed limit is 45 and hit the things my goodness, it knocked the wind out of me! I couldn't freaking breath, haven't had that happen in years!

It would depend ....if it is private property, then the owners(s) have the right to install. In Philadelphia Pa, the homeowners (not condos) are the owners of the driveways and have the right to install speed bumps. I don t know if there is a limitation on height

You can report anything you want to. If the speed bumps are on private property, they can be whatever height the owner wants them to be.

Dont bother reporting anything .If you are catching them your suspension has been lowered so they are Just enough to keep the BOY Racers speed at a reasonable level and to stop other idiots from breaking the law or maiming some poor pedestrian's or road user
