If you want to keep them both, have them both neutered.

If they were friends before, then this is a territorial phase. One will have to become the dominant one in order for this to stop. If both 'want' to be the dominant male, then only time and a lot of fights will finalize the problem. Nuetering might not solve the fighting, but will help with the cat overpopulation!

Yes, getting them neutered will help calm them down.

If they got along before, but now all of a sudden they're not, something might have freaked them out (maybe one scared the other) and things are a bit touchy. Some time away from each other might help also.

Neutering will help with the fighting and will prevent unwanted kittens.

If you got one before the other one is gonna start to fight and might start to spray in your house because 1 of the cats thinks that this is his property and the other needs to go away. I had that problem I had to get rid of one. :(

Sounds like you're doing everything you should. Neutering should help them be less aggressive.

at least one of them has to have the twinkle taken out of his eye, so you are doing everything right.if you have them neutered at the same time dominance isn't settled and they will still fight .have them neutered about one mo apart

Yep, get them fixed for sure. It'll also prevent them from spraying too, which they'll probably get around to soon.
