It's called poor mans strogonof. Brown your hamburger. Wash, peel and slice your potatoes. Stir your cream of mushroom soup into your hamburger and add a cup of milk. Get out your 13 by 9 inch baking pan, and grease it. Layer your sliced potatoes and hamburger gravy misture over top and bake in over for 45 mins at 350'. Top with some shredded cheddar cheese, if you have any, and throw back into oven for about another 15 mins. Take out and let sit for 5-10 mins, and serve with bread and butter. If you have a can of peas or green beans, you can throw them in there with the hamburger gravy mixture before you do your layering.

First of all - what are the "etc."?
Secondly, kids usually like hamburgers, and they don't have to be grilled either. Just make patties and fry them in a skillet. Top with all the usual stuff or just ketchup. Kids aren't usually taht picky about their lettuce. Use potatoes to make french fries. Find some kind of vegetable. (It seems like you've got a regular pantry food assortment to work with). It can be green beans, canned corn. Leave the cream of mushroom soup for the next meal, when you can serve it with grilled cheese sandwiches.
Good luck!

Take the beef and fry it in a pan. add the cream of mushroom soup. If you ahve some peas add that to the pan of soup and beef. Xtur, add your spices. Toast some bread. Put the bread on the plate and scoop some of the mixtue on top. This is an old recipy from my grandfather. We used to eat this all the time. I loved it! It's also quick, easy, healthy and cheap to make!
Good luck!

Shephards pie (or 1 version of it)
Brown beef with some onion (or without). Drain, add can of veggies (we like either corn or green beans) and a can of mushroom soup. Pour into square baking dish. Meanwhile make mashed potatoes, spread them on top of meat mixture and sprinkle with chedder cheese (or dont). Bake until bubbly. Yummer! kids love this, just use the veggie they like!
