Why are talkative people considered annoying?

because they compulsively fill the silence with stupid crap, like everyone needs to hear them thinking out loud - as though no one has thoughts of their own.

Because all people hear are their voice and it is non-stop. It's like having a radio on all the time, eventually we tune it out and don't actually listen to it...........it becomes background noise.
Follow the wise saying: Speak because you have something to say, don't speak just to say something.
A woman might find it hard to find a partner because she is too talkative.
It's annoying when others do not have a chance to speak when the talkative person is rambling on and on.

Yes they are.
I love my 7 yr old daughter but that child can't be quit to save her life. She even talks in her sleep. I hope she learns to be quiet by the time she's an adult.
Adults who don't realized they are being tuned out need to have a zipper on their mouth.

Well they cn get on your nerves at times, but I have learned to tune them out.Some people talk when they are happy or excited to be with someone.But there is a time and a place to chatter.......

they don't give anyone else a chance to speak. I have 2 friends like this, they ask questions and as I try to answer, they ask another question and so on... than they ask why I didnt answer the questions, if they would just shutup and listen for a second they would have their answers.

Because they don't know how to shut up. No one minds a talker but come on, you got to know when to stop talking people.

Talkative people are extroverts and tend to like to socialize. Usually, the people that they irritate the most are introverts. Introverts prefer to keep to themselves and a long-winded, chatty extrovert can drive them to distraction.
