On the face of it, the answer would seem to be that you'd both be better looking elsewhere.
But is there some coded language being used here? Rigorous athletic training reduces estrogen levels and tends to masculinise girls. Breast size is often reduced, periods can even stop. Is he perhaps concerned that your athletic training may be causing a certain amount of defeminisation?
It may not be a question of "letting yourself go" but striking a balance by limiting athletic training to a level at which normal female phyiscal appearance and function is not impaired.

Absolutely not.....call me twisted if you want but if a girl is athletic & her Guy says he prefers her "plump" I'd say he's feeling threatened that other Guys are looking at her & wants her to not look so good....that way he doesn't feel so threatened or worried that the Guys looking may "turn her head"
He knows if he could get her to not look so good...perhaps no-one else will want her....NEVER fall for that one.
If you're fit stay fit sweetie. good on ya!
Hey! the Guys look elsewhere so you should keep him on his toes to know that you're being looked at too...plus why not make yourself feel every bit as gorgeous as you can.
As it it they really believe that us Women don't look at other Guys...
NO Sweetheart...NO WAY..

no way, don't you change a single thing about yourself for anyone except yourself!!!
You are perfectly great how you are, if he doesn't like it, he wouldn't be with you!!
I wouldn't even THINK about going down this root if I were you, what if he dumps you? What if your next boyfriend likes women with pirced necks? Where would this end up going?
Be yourself always, some will like you, some will hate you, some will love you..............just how you like, hate and love others...................

No. I would continue to be a healthy size and love myself. He wants plump, tell him to find plump...you'll live longer anyhow.

no, i play sport because i enjoy it, adn its good for my health, there are more important things than the way one looks, and on top of the, surely your boyfriend must like the way you look or he would not be with you in the first place.

f@ck no, its harder to lose then gain so when the time came I would be kicking myself. Also a lot of health risks when your even 10 lbs over weight (chance of diabetes doubles). Pfff. i would tell him to shove it.
