I'm fine with the way my body looks, besides my LOVE HANDLES. :( Should I just keep working out at the gym ( walking on the treadmill = burning about 170 calories a day ) and eating healthy? If I keep this up, how long do you think it will take to lose weight, or my love handles?

YOURE LOSING A 170 CALORIES A DAY! Thats not gonna cut girl friend! Its goin take longer than you think! Lets try something else mkay. Besides let me express to you what youre losing....youre losing that one SPRITE you drank to day. The average american over consumes double the amount of the recommended calorie intake.
Email me at chef_rayah@yahoo.com and I can do a dietary anaylsis as well as suitable actions you should take!

If youre not into that, i recommend doing some hard core cardi for a week. You'll see quick results. Also I dont have to tell you to eat healthly if youre already doing that but maybe consider biking, or other forms of excercise besides the tread.
Another fun and challenging excercise is doing progressive crunches and ab excercises. Start off with 25 crunches everynight and morning. Every other day increase the amount of crunches you do, try be at about 50 by the end of the week. Keep it up and you'll not only have slimmer hips but nice abs to boot!

There is 3500 calories to 1 pound of body fat, so if there is
2.2 pounds in a kg then that works out to about 7700 calories.
If you had maintained your weight before you started exercise plan and your diet was healthy then as well then you basically
calculate your burn of 170 against how many kgs you would
like to lose (this is only a basic guide as other factors come into weight loss)

eg

if you would like to lose 5 kgs then this would equal 38500 calories to be burned which is about 226 days worth approx.

If this is too slow a result then you have to either exercise more
or alter your diet. I would choose more exercise as you already
say you have a healthy diet.

My best results are from a daily 45 minute walk and eating more
fruit veg and leaner meat and less processed food. My weight just falls off easily if I stay off the processed food.

Good Luck

stick with it and if you find you stop losing the weight, try a new routine (walk on an incline, run, bikes, etc). doing different workouts challeges the body. muscle training 2 times a week speeds weight loss too.
