Honestly, I've been to Catholic churches. They never even open a bible... they sound like stepford people rehearsing the same scripture from memory and they practice so many rituals, pray to statues and teach their congregation to feel guilty because they're not perfect which is kind of the opposite of what Jesus preached while on earth. I just don't get it myself...but they do believe in Jesus and what he did on the cross however some of them think they can actually be good to get to heaven like it's something that they earned. It cannot be earned. So no, I think not. No offense to any Catholics though. I just don't understand after much research.

If Jesus instituted any church then the best candidate would be the Catholic Church.
If Jesus expected the apostles to establish secession as a form of passing down authority, then the answer is the Catholic Church.
If you want to say that the Bible is the only authority, then who decides what books should be included in the Bible? That would be the Catholic Church in the councils of Carthage and Hippo around the year 400.
Without the Catholic Church then Christianity would have been a mish-mash of individual cults each going out on their own, creating their own beliefs as they go along.
Catholicism isn't perfect and there are more than a few bad priests, but it has stood out for 2000 years as the main voice of Christianity. If Jesus were alive today, I imagine that he would have a few things to tell the leaders of the Catholic Church, but I also believe that Jesus would want all Christians to be united together in love, doctrine, and under the authority of His Church.

Scripture reveals this Church to be the one Jesus Christ built upon the rock of Saint Peter (Matt. 16:18). By giving Peter the keys of authority (Matt. 16:19), Jesus appointed Peter as the chief steward over His earthly kingdom (cf. Isaiah. 22:19-22). Jesus also charged Peter to be the source of strength for the rest of the apostles (Luke 22:32) and the earthly shepherd of Jesus' flock (John 21:15-17). Jesus further gave Peter, and the apostles and elders in union with him, the power to bind and loose in heaven what they bound and loosed on earth. (Matt. 16:19; 18:18). This teaching authority did not die with Peter and the apostles, but was transferred to future bishops through the laying on of hands (e.g., Acts 1:20; 6:6; 13:3; 8:18; 9:17; 1 Tim. 4:14; 5:22; 2 Tim. 1:6).
By virtue of this divinely-appointed authority, the Catholic Church determined the canon of Scripture (what books belong in the Bible) at the end of the fourth century. We therefore believe in the Scriptures on the authority of the Catholic Church. After all, nothing in Scripture tells us what Scriptures are inspired, what books belong in the Bible, or that Scripture is the final authority on questions concerning the Christian faith. Instead, the Bible says that the Church, not the Scriptures, is the pinnacle and foundation of the truth (1 Tim. 3:15) and the final arbiter on questions of the Christian faith (Matt. 18:17). It is through the teaching authority and Apostolic Tradition (2 Thess. 2:15; 3:6; 1 Cor. 11:2) of this Church, who is guided by the Holy Spirit (John 14:16,26; 16:13), that we know of the divine inspiration of the Scriptures, and the manifold wisdom of God. (cf. Ephesians 3:10).

Let's ask Jesus; ok?
Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
There goes father so and so
Luke 20:46 Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;
Again Jesus warns of the priest
John 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
HOLY FATHER wasn't ment for a man sitting in Rome, but God The Father
Revelation 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
See Gold Cup (mass) Red (Cardinals) purple color - abominations and filthiness - Sounds little condmening there
Revelation 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
Gee a church that killed Jesus' followers, what was the question, oh did Jesus approve of the Catholic Church, not a church that killed his people (Foxes Book of Marytrs)
Revelation 17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
The Seven Hills of early Rome were the Cermalus, Cispius, Fagutal, Oppius, Palatium, Sucusa, and Velia, OH NO!!! Not looking Good at all for Catholic Church
finally: Jesus calls her:
Revelation 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
I say the answer is NO

From the way that Jesus responded to the Pharisees and the Sadducees (the 'religious' leaders of His time) I would say that He wouldnt 'promote' any religion as the 'right one'. Instead, I believe that Christ wants us to belong to HIM and not to any given denomination. In right relationship with Jesus, you will know what church is right for you, because the Holy Spirit will guide you when you hear the teachings of any denomination.

There is only one True Church... The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head... All who come to God in The Way He prescribes will receive His free gift of Salvation and become of The Body of The Church... Those are the ones of The True Christian Faith... only those of The Church will enter Heaven.... That is the Salvation Message of Jesus The Christ... I do not see the roman "church mentioned... nore do I see Protestant or Baptist, or any other "denomination" "sect" or cult...

Well, Catholicism wasn't around when Jesus walked the earth. Actually no denominations were.
Jesus tells us to love him and love others and obey his word. I am not sure how important denomination is to God. I think He is mainly concerned about our daily obedience to his leading and his Bible, not what church we attend.
So, just stay in his unchanging word, rely on his unchanging personality, and pray daily for God's leading (not people's) as to what church He wants for you personally to attend.
Many churches, both Protestant and Catholic, preach things that are NOT Biblical. It is very sad and dangerous when any church decides than man's word(or tradition) is more important than God's word.
I trust God's word over man's word any day.

No, The Catholic faith is a distortion, created by hundreds of years of corruption, superstition, cultural bias and forced blending of non-Christian beliefs in order to get global peoples to buy into the Church.
Sorry, believers, but Christ almost certainly would be appalled by the modern Catholic Church.
Institutionalized greed
Polytheism (Mary and Saint worship is strongly rooted to pagan religious beliefs of everyone from the Celts to the Aztecs)
Official fraud (both the Shroud of Turin and the painting being passed off as the Virgin of Guadalupe cloak are clear examples of the Church trying to dupe the public into belief in false miracles)
Protection of the status quo at all costs
The Inquisition
Indulgences
Attempts to squash scientific innovation and discoveries counter to doctrine
Dogmatism based not on biblical text but on their own documents and rites.
Declaring, with no basis in scripture, that not only was Mary a virgin, but her mother as well.
The list is too long to do here.
While I believe the Protestant faiths are also often off-base on Christ's message, they do not have nearly the scale of burocracy, historical abuses and amazingly illogical and often damaging accepted "traditions" which fly in the face of most of Christ's teachings.
Sorry, Charlie. Jesus would not be amused.

Nope, and neither is protestantism.
Jesus never mentioned following the Bible. He never mentioned anything about Paul.
Jesus' teaching are very simple. You can get them by reading the Bible.
Peter was certainly set up to follow Jesus and was given the responsibility of leading, but obviously, later popes were not men called by God.
Jesus wants us to practice pure religion. Read about it in James. Jesus taught alot about self control and obedience. Protestants can't seem to understand those concepts.
Catholics understand self-control but they can't seem to let go of worshipping Saints, baptizing babies and other unnecessary and incorrect acts.

properly, enable's see... we are commanded no longer to make graven pictures, pretend idols, or pictures of any living element. Do Catholics have statues of their churches? Do they positioned on St. Christopher medals? have they were given pictures of what an artist conceives as Jesus of their houses? we are to desire to God in effortless words. Do Catholics pray to saints and Mary? Jesus stated to devour in memory of Him. Do Catholics coach that the communion host and grape juice actually change into the body and blood of Christ, it extremely is, cannibalism? the ten Commandments did no longer have an expiration date. Saturday began out because the Sabbath and that has no longer replaced in accordance to the Bible. Do Catholics declare Sunday is the Sabbath? The Bible states all sins are equivalent because the penalty for all sins is the same - lack of lifestyles. Does the Catholic church coach there are venial and cardinal sins? there are a range of, many different issues that the Catholic church teaches that are opposite to the observe of God. Many say that the Whore of Babylon pronounced in Revelations is the Catholic church because the Whore of Babylon sits on 7 hills and Rome sits on 7 hills.
