Hell no unless you take them at face value.

The bible tells us over and over that it is bad to be rich, and good to be poor. Yet poverty is a huge problem. For example if poverty is so good why aren't there millions of rich kids starving to death instead of just the poor ones? The bible was written to be mind control over the poor and uneducated.

As far as the scripture "it is easier for a camel to pass thru the needle eye than for a rich man to enter heaven" well, statistically speaking, how many rich men were there per 1,000? Let's just think about this. If heaven were real of course there would be more poor people going there. There are more poor people in the world.

The One True God does not protect the wealthy by His laws or the poor in any way. Because all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, whether rich or poor.
The reason you think that the rules in the Bible protect the wealthy is because you evidently haven't read the Bible. You are instead listening to MAN and how man protects and makes rules to protect the wealthy because wealthy men usually make the rules..... but God is not for the rich or the poor, he is for those that what to have an intimate relationship with Him. And by doing so will do righteous and justice to fellowman.
Please ask the Holy Spirit to understand the Written Word of God and get in there and find out...... You will find out that God is so good and plans good for all men.

Yes there are.

Jesus said that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter heaven. To me this means that having financial prosperity can inhibit a person from trusting in God as their true provider. I do not think that God is against having wealth, it is when it seperates us from Him that he has a problem with it.

The eye of the needle is a gate into the city that is open at night. The main gates are closed at dusk so if you or a caravan wanted to enter the city after dark you could only do so through the eye of the needle. In order for a camel to get through this gate they have to crawl on their knees. This is not ducking or hunching since most city walls were 5' thick or thicker. Can you imagine how hard this is on the camel?

It says that if you don't give everything you have to the poor, you can't go to heaven, and that there is a higher chance that a camel walks through the eye of a needle than that a rich person goes to heaven. It's somewhere in the Gospel that Jesus said that, but this is not one of verses that Christians like to quote.

Look at King Nebuchadnezzar. He had everything the world could possibly offer, and it wasn't enough without God.

Look at King David. He was a man after God's own heart, and he still sinned against God.He found out that without God he had nothing.

Look at King Solomon. He had everything he ever wanted. It is said he was the wisest man to ever live.He was left empty inside without God in his life.

Drunkards try to fill that hole with alcohol.Junkies try to fill that hole with drugs.Adulterer's try to fill that hole with sex. That is a vacuum in the soul that can never be filled with nothing but the savior.

"My brothers, you are not holding the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, our glory, with acts of favoritism, are you? For, if a man with gold rings on his fingers and in splendid clothing enters into a gathering of you, but a poor man in filthy clothing also enters, yet you look with favor upon the one wearing the splendid clothing and say: “You take this seat here in a fine place,” and you say to the poor one: “You keep standing,” or: “Take that seat there under my footstool,” You have class distinctions among yourselves and you have become judges rendering wicked decisions, is that not so?

Listen, my beloved brothers. God chose the ones who are poor respecting the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he promised to those who love him, did he not? You, though, have dishonored the poor man. The rich oppress you, and they drag you before law courts, do they not? They blaspheme the fine name by which you were called, do they not? If, now, you practice carrying out the kingly law according to the scripture: “You must love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing quite well. But if you continue showing favoritism, you are working a sin, for you are reproved by the law as transgressors."

Have you ever read the Hebrew Prophets? or the laws of Moses? The prophets especially show probably for the first time in history that status and wealth have no place in determining justice. In the ancient world this was a radical concept.

All of them say that the wicked and rich, self-righteous will perish and burn for eternity.. if that's what you were going for..

The bible isn't a set of rules. And if you look at it like that, it's just a stupid book. It's God's word. God's gift.

Ask God. My wisdom is far more limited than his
