I am an Atheist because I lack belief in gods. Atheism is simply "without" ( a) "god belief" ( theism ). For the most part I am soft except for my head and bones. I believe the way I do because I have not been brainwashed to believe otherwise. Belief is not a choice. Since I have never been presented with credible evidence or reasons to believe in gods, I have no choice but to be an atheist.

Further I have a very hard time understanding how a complex entity such as this alleged god can "just exist". Of course theists never ask themselves that question.

Instead I believe that reality when taken as a whole is simple and necessary and that the reason it seems complex is because we see so little of it.

I'm an athiest because I don't believe in a God. There is no "hard" or "soft" athiest, because you either believe in a God or you don't. I don't see why people think athiests won't live their lives to the fullest, when I believe that we must have as much fun and excitement as we can while we're alive, because once we're dead, there is no heaven, there is no afterlife. I think I believe in living my life to the fullest more than a Christian (that knows they will go to heaven) would.

I believe in logic, science, and reason, not a magic man in the sky. However, I do live a morally clean life, and I feel as though I am a good person. So I guess I have some Christian values, although they should be basic human values. So i guess I am a "soft atheist" untill someone can prove to me that there is a god

I do not believe in the existence of a God as defined by people. I have had no experience that would leave me to believe their is a God.

Gods seem a bit out of sync with how nature operates. I find it very.. no extremely difficult to imagine a being of ultimate power and knowledge would require or even want worshipers.. It just does not at all make sense.

Atheist is just an adjective to describe someone like me, who doesn't believe that there are any gods. That's all it means.

I'm an atheist because i have never found any good reason to believe that there is a god. In fact, i have found more evidence that god is an invention of the mind of man. There is nothing good that comes out of religion that cannot be achieved through secular means... however, there are a lot of terrible things that can only be the product of religion and/or nationalism.

th term athist means the person doesnt believe that any higher beings or places exsist. We're born, we live, we die. End of story. Atheists believe this the same reasons Baptists are baptists and Muslims are Muslims- ouside influence, the way they were raised, points of revelation... there are many reasons. I don't know what hard and soft are... but hope I helped.

There is no hard and soft. That's like being half pregnant.

I am atheist because there is no proof that there is a God. Yeah, I know, you "gotta just have faith". But why should I make believe that something exists just so I can conform to what other people believe?

Also, religious people are so kooky that there's no way that they
could be right.

As I keep telling people. Atheists are not cruel, lonely people. They walk amongst you and have fullfilling lives. Do you really believe that a Christian or Muslim is less afraid of death than an Atheist is?

Atheism would be defined by me as Anti-theism, or against god

I define the term Atheist as a lack of religion. A disbelief in any gods.

Hard and soft? We are not boiled eggs, damn it!

I do not believe because there is no evidence of gods.
