Translation Help?

Question

I need to know when someone says Te Amo (probably not spelt right)in english this means I love you so you know what i am talking about What would be the proper response? For Females and for Males because i know sometimes its different or so i hear

"Te amo" looks to be spanish and the answer will depend if you love her or not. If you do then answer "Yo tambièn" or "Mi tambièn".If instead should be mispelled Italian "Ti Amo" the answer,still depending on yr feeling, would be "Anche io,tanto" if you like her a lot or just "Anche io" if not so much.
In both cases no difference of gender.
If you don't love her, then...better you keep silent.....:D
