her preahcing is against God's word, how about that:
Timothy I 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
Timothy I 3:1 This is a true saying, If a MAN desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.

I don't know that much about the ministry of Joyce Meyers, but I do know that scripture states that sends the Holy Spirit to both male and female alike. Paul even speaks of a female apostle in the book of Romans (Junias) that no one ever mentions either. All I know is this, if it was all up to male preachers, I would never have had anyone show any interest in me in the circumstances that I was in. Plus, if I had limited God to working through the love and grace of a male figure, I suppose that I would have been out of luck.

Don't listen to them (Baptists) Joyce Meyers is an awesome teacher of the Word and is a woman God has chosen to do just that.
Baptists tend to be legalistic when it comes to the Bible. They read the words but don't get the spirit of the Word.
www.bible.com has a section for most asked questions. I suggest you go there and look for "What does the Bible say about Women in Ministry." I believe it will be an eye opener for you! I know it was for me!
Joyce is an awesome teacher and woman of the Word. She speaks truth in love and it comes directly from the Biblical text!
You know in the Scriptures, it tells us that God does not see Jew nor Gentile, bond nor servant, male nor female we are all one in Christ Jesus. God see's us as Spirit.
There was mention that women should be "quiet." I agree with the article at bible.com that address that issue. When women are gossips, being loud, taking away from the message then yes, that scripture applies to them. When we are given the "Great Commission" Jesus doesn't say, men go out and baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Women, I've got something else planned for you...It doesn't say that at all!
We as Christians have been given a command from Jesus to go out to all nations and baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matt. 28) We are His disciples, all of us.
I've been to a Joyce Meyer Conference. It was mostly women. However, I did see some men that joined their wife or girlfriend. They came of their own free will. She (Joyce) has found her niche in teaching women...men...children, well, anyone that will listen to God's Word.
I've been blessed by her ministry. I pray God continues to bless her!

I come from a Baptist background and am familiar with some who say you should never listen to a woman who preaches to men. (That means not only Joyce Myers, but Beth Moore and Kay Arthur as well.) I have listened to and read Joyce Myers many times over the years and she seems to me to be a woman of God--full of Godly wisdom. You'll have to decide for yourself what you think about women who preach and the passage in the Bible that says women "should be silent" in the church. I have read both sides of that argument extensively, and still feel I don't know exactly what I think, but I do know this. When I go to God and ask for wisdom about what to do, I have NOT received from him the confirmation that we should reject the teaching from any woman who preaches to men.
My advice--know and use your Bible and always compare every preacher and teacher, male or female, against what God teaches in his word.

Joyce Meyer has questionable practices and teachings like:
*she teaches a hallmark doctrine of Faith theology, namely, that Christ had to suffer in hell to atone for our sins and be born again
*advocates peculiar and unbiblical manifestations at church gatherings, and attributes them to the power of God
*Although there is no biblical precedent, she makes the assertion that angels tell her what to preach
*She promotes the superstitious belief that certain kinds of jewelry attract evil spirits
*asserts that God would never allow her to fall into error
*generational spirits supposedly torment families for generations with specific sins, and she even believes that a demon of lust torments her family
*she believes that there are “mind-binding” spirits who keep multitudes of believers in a perpetual state of unbelief.

I believe you should ask God what He thinks. Ask Him to give you discernment of the spirits. Ask Him to reveal to you if you should or shouldn't be listening to Joyce. He Will.
Praise the Lord!

If you are receiving benefit then they must be wrong. I enjoy her as well. Remember some baptists don't believe in women ministers but I too enjoy her teachings and feel if anything she has helped me become closer with the Lord and see some things about myself more clearly. I believe as a Christian it is important to examine ourselves everyday. If we are sinning in some way it is important to ask God to help with our negative personality traits. How could that be wrong? I believe that maybe those people should look more to themselves and the wood in their own eyes instead of looking for wrong things in others. Maybe they are afraid she is right and just don't want to change.

God made both sexes - if someone is telling you to ignore Joyce Meyers (and she is helping you cope) simply because she is female then they are male chauvinist pigs and God will not be happy when SHE hears about it!

Yes well I think she's got some good testimony but should not be the main source of your biblical knowledge. I think one must take it a step further and I do believe the bible in what it says about women. They do however make good sunday school teachers and whatnot because we are to take care of the children. I think she shares her own stories and relates well to women but if you are calling her your preacher and that's where you get all of your information then I think thats probably not enough food for the soul.
