Check out the program "Body for Life" it is a book by Bill Phillips, it has everything you need to do to maintain a healthy lifestyle and reach your desired weight and fitness level, it puts weight and muscl on those that need to gain weight, it decreases body fat and tones and builds muscle for those that need that, it incorporates cardio, weight training, and diet. The workouts take less than one hour a day to complete, and one day a week is a free day no workouts no food restrictions. 1st time I did "BFL" I lost 40 pounds in 12 weeks ! I've kept it of now for 5 years and have lost another 28 pounds since, I'm 46 and in the best shape of my life. There is also a web site www.bodyforlife.com but get the book and read it.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

I do Tae Bo 5'x a week with Billy Blanks. It's fun and has high energy. It incorporates cardio and kick boxing. He has a martial arts theme and is very good at keeping you moving! The DVD is 40 Min's. long, but there are DVDs out there that are about 30 Min's too. If you stick with it religiously, you'll start feeling the difference in about a week! You energy level will increase dramatically and soon you'll be able to actually complete the entire DVD in one setting. Good luck!

Go on the elliptical for 30-40 minutes minimum 3 times a week. It burns a lot more calories than walking on the treadmill.

The best cardio workout for anyone is walking. A good brisk 30 minute walk everyday will help you enormously in weight loss and in your cardiac health.

Try interval training for your cardio. For example, if you are using a treadmill, jog for 2 minutes and sprint/run for 20 seconds. Keep alternating 2 minutes and sprint for 2o minutes. You will burn more calories than jogging for 30-45 minutes and will help boost your metabolism even more.

Obviously, run/jog. If you just can't stand it, or want to do this and more, eliptical machines, and classes of dance-step-yoga are all good. Yoga not so much cardio, but very good for you mind body spirit.

well, the bike thing at the gym is a good one, and so is the treadmill, but its bad for your ankles. basically anyhting that makes you sweat a lot. and you should do it for 60 minutes at least 3 times a day. thats the minimum
