1. A knowledge of the area and the people/climate/culture/etc so you know what you're getting into.
2. Money, honey. A job or a steady source of income to pay rent, and a knowledge of how to manage it properly.
3. A place to live that's up to code and conveniently located.
4. Some new local friends. :P

for sure a place to live and a job. school...not as much. but i would be moving to go to school. so i guess i need a place to live and a job
