I have 2 Pomeranian's, one male and one female. Neither of them are fixed...the female was just in heat a couple of weeks ago and I think she might be pregnant, but I'm not sure.

She has been sick 2-3 times a day for a little over a week. Only vomitting, nothing else. She is eating and drinking like normal (maybe even a slight increase in her food). I took her to the vet and there was nothing obviously wrong with her, but it was too early to feel for pups.

She seems more protective of herself and a little scared to jump on high furniture or into my arms like she used to. She went from 15lbs to 17.7 lbs since the last time she visited the vet, and I have not changed her food. She seems a little more tired than normal, but at times she has plenty of energy to play ball so I don;t think she is ill.

Does this sound like a pregnancy?

I wasn't planning to have puppies, but I wasn't planning not to have puppies. They are both pure bread, papered, Pomeranians and I already have several people interested if she is indeed pregnant. I don't believe in "fixing" my pets, it's just a personal choice I have made. I do keep the female away from other males when she is in season.

Yes, she sounds pregnant. Dogs get morning sickness and all the other stuff humans do when pregnant. But, I am rather dissapointed you didn't bother to get them fixed, or infact seperated when she went in heat. There are plenty of dogs in the world, and most are unwanted. Yes, you may make sure to give them to a nice home, but accidents happen, allergies develope, and dogs run away.

Yes, a pregnancy sign is morning sickness. Gaining weight very quickly is also a sign of pregnancy.

Were you planning on having puppies? If so, great! If not, make sure you do your research to be fully ready!

Yes, dogs can suffer from morning sickness, or sickness any time of the day, while pregnant (just like humans).
