Rome, Rome, Rome. The author meant Rome (ancient, that is, not Roman Catholic). Apocalyptic literature used symbols to talk about what was happening at the time, not the future. The Christians at the time Revelation was written were being persecuted by the Romans. The symbol obviously signifies Rome (She sits on 7 hills, that's the most blatant clue ever.)

Look up the term "apocalyptic literature" to learn more.

Yes, but it's any church, religion or person who thinks Satan is Christ, or worships someone or something other than God. They did not remain a widow waiting for their true husband Christ. Babylon means confusion, or false religion.

That's why the rapture fallacy is so dangerous.

We talked about this last night at church. It is Nimrods wife. Nimrod was building the tower of Ballum( I might have spelled that wrong), but anyway he died, and his wife was the first hore. The story is in the book of 1 Kings.
