I had it done and it didn't hurt at all at the time. It was a bit uncomfortable with some clothing until I got used to it.....you will be fine for the party.

Honestly the pain only last when the needle is puncturing the skin. The tissue in your stomach is fatty so I promise it won't be that bad. Wanna know when U really might start to feel the pain though...? When the swelling in the area of your piercing starts to go down. Later that day (of my own piercing) I was driving home and it was like I completely forgot I had it done because there was no discomfort or anything until I got in my car and reached my arm across to grab my seat belt. That frikin HURT!!! So don't go doin' da "caterpillar" or any other crazy dance moves at da party and U should be fine ;-p

Yes, you'll be fine. It will just be very sore. Take some advil or any over the counter pain reliever, but make sure it's not aspirin. Keep in mind that you will need to keep clothing from rubbing your navel so wear low rider jeans or a dress to the party. You're going to be sore for a good two months and you won't want to sleep on your stomach.

A couple of tips that helped me heal. After you've cleaned it with anti bacterial soap and water, set your blow dryer on cool and dry it well. Keeping it dry inside and out will help prevent infection. You can make a solution of 4 oz of water and half a teaspoon of sea salt. Invert the glass over your piercing and soak for 15 minutes every day for the first six weeks and again, dry with your blowdryer.

I went out the night after I got mine done, but the pain didnt' go away for more than 1 month. I finally had to take it out because it just wouldn't heal. Be very carful who you go to, make sure they're clean and know what they're doing.

It will hurt for a few weeks, but not bad enough to miss a party.

just a quick pinch...didn't really hurt me. then just keep it clean as instructed by the place you're getting it done at...and you should heal in a week to 10 days, w/ not much pain at all

People heal at a different rate. No definite answer possible.

I don't know personally, but my sister had it done and said they numbed it with ice.
