On a scale of one to 10, what is your value and why?

What about you makes you more or less valuable than another human being?

Serious replies only, please. For the sake of this debate, let's limit the interpretation for Human Beings, to those who are already born and exist in a society.
(I don't want to turn this into an abortion debate, please stay on topic. If YOU must make a statement of your beliefs, do that, but for the sake of the debate, go onto actually answer the question within the guidelines.)

Actually yes. For business purposes. As an example, after 911, a group was commissioned by the Government and the Insurance companies to do just that. To determine how much to offer in compensation to the victims survivors. It was actually an interesting process. They essentially averaged the salaries, how much each victim would likely earn over their lifetime averaged how many survivors each victim left, and other factors like that and came up with a number.

I believe it was a bit over 1.8 million was offered to each family as compensation for the loss of the loved one.

The value of a life, as determined by 9/11

A value can, but in an obloque sense.

How much does a heart transplant cost?

What is the insurance company willing to spend to keep a person on life support?

IF I sell a kidney on eBay, what can I get for it?

But don;t confuse value with worth.

My value is the same as any other person, but it is the worth where we get the conflict.

I would safely state that I am worth more than a child molester, but am I worth more than a Mother Teresa?

I do not think that anyone can put a value on human life. Not another human being anyway. What right do we have to say that someone is more or less valuable than someone else?

Yes, only thru the eyes of God tho, His point system is endless:
1) His thoughts of us are more then the grains of sand
2) He knows the number of hairs on our head
3) A sparrow cannot fall to the ground without Him knowing, how much more valuable are we then
4) He sent His only son to die for our sins
5) He has offered us a furnished home with Him forever
6) He gives more then we could ever ask or think
7) He has engraved us on the palm of his hand
8) He loves us unconditionally
9) We are all equal at the foot of the cross
He values human life more than we can imagine

The value has to be 10 for every human being. Suicide bombers and child molesters etc. included. I know that's an opinion that many people will disagree with but I happen to believe that every individual is destined for nirvana eventually so we are all equal in the long run.

There is no value that we can put on a life; it is precious!

36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

bible records - as far as man himself

Psalms 144:3 LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!

man has one common ground - Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

problem & cure

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Life is every man will die; there two things for sure death and taxes.

God shed His blood for man's soul:
Acts 20:28 God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Man is very important that God shed his Blood, left Glory to live and die for all man:
Timothy I 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

We are all 10's on a scale of 10.

People are not allowed to choose which people are worth more. That is racism and intolerance.

Obviously it can. Just look at all the inmates on death row, it is obvious that their lives were more valuable than the ones they took, if they weren't they'd have been executed by now.
