I believe first you need to want to be with Jesus for eternity. It's great you want to see your loved ones, but it is the greatest commandment
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart mind and strength", that comes to mind for you.
About the will of God, read the bible, work to study and have spirit filled knowledge of it. God will show you the rest.

I felt the same way before I came back to the Lord. I back slid at the age of 14. I studied different religions, I went out and sin & lived a life of confusion. I wasn't satified with the results I found in any of the other religions, so I then became a athies. I denied God, and anything he stood for. It was not until I was about to committ suiciede, had no one to turn to, or call on did I go back to the Lord. I mean I was in thousands of dollars of dept, I had a car that had just lost the entire engine, and I was not able to make it either of my jobs. My life was a complete disaster. I was a broke, bustard college student trying my best to make ends meet. I had no father to help me; only a mother who recieve SSI. I had no support system, no friends, and family who had my back. But in my time on need, and in despair that is why I found the Lord as my shelter, my comfort, and my refuge. The Lord said in his own word he will never leave us, nor will he forsake us. I was a person who had critize the Lord, use his name in vain, denied him, Gossisp about his people, studied witch-craft, and put other ideas & beliefs before him. I was a Blashphemiest, a liar, a fornicator, and a nasty pervert. I was truly a sinner, amoung sinners. If Jesus didn't like ugly, he would have never wash me his blood, and forgave me of all my sins. He would have never given me a second chance. I believe in god for what he has done. The Lord means more to me than a church building, a denomination, a pastor or prophet, a car, a house, a job, a college degree, a relationship ( I practice celibacy), and even my mother and father. He is my total support system. I can't convince you to come to the Lord, but what I can do is explain, and give you a reason why I serve him. When my back was against the wall he was all that I had to call on. He delivered me in my times of need of financial caous, and distability. I don't know what I would do without him, or how did I survive without out. I am sorry you feel this way, because the Lord is good. But, there are those who defame his name, and lie on him. Because of that, many never truly ever get to know him. The only thing I could leave you with is to ask the Lord to save you, and Baptize and Fill you up with the HOLYGHOST. Ask God to replace your mind with that of Christ, and get your own revelation of who he is. Read the bible for yourself, and the Lord will provide you an answer. A lot of the wars that were fought in his name, were not actually fought in his name. Man has wage war for centuries, and place the Lord as the blame. As far as biblical wars, they were fought to either defend, or release God's people for bondage!

P.S: I hope I haven't affended you, but I had to tell you the truth. There was a time when I felt the same way, but because of his Holyspirit, Grace, Mercy, Rightousness, and Holliness, I now know the diffence.

First you need to ask if you truly believe that when people die they go to heaven. In the bible at Eccleciates 9:5 it says the dead are conscious of nothing at all. And at Ezekiel 18:4 says the soul that is sinning it iself will die. God remembers all when they perish however from the point of death they are just a memory to be resurrected to earth again after Armageddon. If you want to know how to do gods will there is a brochure that takes you to the bible called What does God Require I can send to you if you are interested

Hmmm you are only becoming christian again so that you can be with your family in the afterlife. From what I have heard every christian preaching, that is quite the wrong reason. I mean you aren't doing it because you accept christ and believe in his love. You are doing it for the selfish reason of not wanting to be lonely in the afterlife. You might wanna take a step back and check your priorities.

How great to read that you want to be a Christian and know that you will be going to heaven! The context behind the verse you refer to is that those who call on God in a panic will not be saved, but those who sincerely recognize and repent from sinfulness, who ask God for forgiveness and accept the free gift of salvation from Him will be saved.
Pray this prayer:
"Lord God, I confess that I am a sinner, unable to earn your favor or your salvation. I ask you to forgive my sins and be my Lord and God. Help me to live for you and love you because of how much you love me. Amen"

Hey, you're choice, but don't take it as the final answer. No one can be sure 100% of anything, and that includes faith in god. If you did believe 100%, then you wouldn't believe at all, because it's the doubt within us that makes us believe just that much more.
So, if you truely want to believe in him, doubt in him

You do need to call on Jesus and accept Him as your Savior and repent of your sins. God's will means to put God first in your life. It's not as hard as it sounds. Follow His lead. He will guide you.
God Bless you and Merry Christmas.

it depends on the way where you are standing. If you are on the wrong way it doesnt matter but if you think you are on the right way i recommend you to think twice.
