You stay single because you have chosen to stay single. Nothing says someone needs to be married at 23, 43, 63 or 70. If you want to stay single then do so. If people question as to why you ARE single?? #1 It is none of their business and if they think you are single because of for whatever reason is in their "sick Minds"---------well let them think whatever they want to. You have to do what makes you the most comfortable.

No you're in the perfect frame of mind to be happy. Whenever people actively look for a partner they rarely find it and often feel frustrated and depressed as a result, but if you're content to just coast along and enjoy life then what you need usually just pops up unexpectadly and that makes it all the better and sweeter when it happens. So don't change what you're doing, just sit back and relax and everything you need will present itself in time.

Everybody is different - it's natural to feel that you should be with someone at certain times such as christmas but what matters is how you feel deep down inside. If you are happy inside it will show on the outside no matter what the situation.
Have a good christmas.

Look into the future and check if there's a partner there. If not, but your "futureself" (my word) looks happy, you should stay single. If you're not 100% sure about pursuing couplehood, don't. It's just too much trouble. Also, look at your list of priorities and see how high couplehood is. The priorities of my futureself are as follows: Career, friends, hobbies, apartment, car.

Everyone feels lonely sometimes, so if you're overall happy I don't think you should find a relationship for the sake of few nights a year.

Well there is someone i really like, and im wondering is he with someone? yes probably, im single, but looking at him, how gorgeous he is, how decent he is, i can imagine me and him somehow, i know its not going to happen, but i can dream cant i?
I see couples together, i dont envy them, i wouldnt mind being loved at this time of the year, i wouldnt say im lonely per se, but it does feel like i am missing out!!
Because Christmas is a time for everyone to celebrate and be together....

You can only know the answer to this if and when you meet someone (preferably of the opposite sex) with whom you want to spend the rest of your life. You could, of course, swear a solemn vow that you want to stay single for evermore and simply ignore any feelings you might develop towards another person, but this doesn't seem to be your intention.

I think they're right. Sometimes relationships take more out of you than being single does.

I've heard that you are usually in the situation you are in because this is what you want.
