He needs to get a first round of shots in him. If they treated him like that I doubt if they vetted him at all.
A little pepto can help with the stool but make sure he is drinking plenty of water. If he begins to lose his appetite and become lethargic get to vet asap.
Once he has solid stool get him to the vet for a deworming and shots and to schedule a neuter.

If the pup is 8 weeks old and has not had a decent diet or medical care before this point, you need to get him to a vet immediately.
Diarrhea in puppies can be caused by anything from worms, to viruses, to bacterial infections, and even a sudden change in diet. You won't necessarily see any worms (many forms are microscopic).
Stop feeding the dog for 24 hours to get his bowels to calm down. Then take a sample of the pup's poo (in a ziploc bag) and take it to the vet with the puppy. Ask for a "fecal float" exam, and ask the vet tech to look for worms, coccidia and giardia (two protozoan parasites).
If the diarrhea is allowed to continue, the pup can become dehydrated. If that happens, his organs will start shutting down. If the diarreha is caused by a disease like Parvo -- it can kill your pup in just a few days. Don't panic, but get your pup to a vet immediately.
When the pup is back home from the vet, feed him boiled rice and hamburger for a few days. It will fill him up but will be easy on his tummy. Then slowly start adding a high-grade puppy chow to the mixture until he's back on solid foods. Table scraps is an unacceptable diet for a growing pup.

Hi,
It could that your pup may have giardia it is a worm. You can tell this by looking at its poop, if you see any blood in it take it to the vet it needs to be tested. Or it could also be that the food you give him does not agree with him. What type of food do you feed him? Try Eukanuba vital health system for puppies or Nutro for puppies. You also could try adding some cooked rice to its diet for a week. I would really check on the giardia though for the puppies sake. Talk to your vet about it. Hope this is helpful good luck

take him to the vet asap. (just make sure that if they tell u to put him to sleep get a second opinion) also try giving him pedialyte to help with the diahrea. it will help a lot. trust me my kitten was the same way. he had an eye infection and diarrhea they told us to put him down i cried and begged my mother to give him a chance. we did. he is now 8 months old happy and healthy. so never give up on the little pup. make sure to get that second opinion. he will be fine. the pedialyte will help. it is spendy but if u care enough about another life u would do it. if u have anymore questions feel free to email me

Get him to the vet. He could have Parvo hopefully not but he really needs to get vaccinated for it. It will also clear up any other problems. All puppy usually have worms they get them from the mother so he needs to wormed. He will not put weight on if he has worms.

Eukanbuba makes a “maximum calorie” wet food. Give your pet a ½ can daily along with it’s regular food for two weeks and you will see results unless there is an underlying problem. Try pedialite (child’s drink) to help the diarrhea/dehydration.

Take it to the vet! If the diarrhea lasts too long, they can become dehydrated. Animals never act sick because it is a survival thing. If the puppy was to act sick, it would be seriously sick!

He needs to be seen by a vet immediately.
No doubt he is dehydrated and malnourished. Dehydration can lead to vital organs shutting down and possibly death. It is very serious.
Some parasites aren't visable with the naked eye. Only a stool sample read by a doctor would be able to tell you if your dog is free of parasites.
He needs to be seen by a vet immediately, IMHO
