My skin is very oily and I get clogged pores all the time, nothing has really worked for me but I havent exactly tried the prescribed topical solutions yet. Anyway I was curious how Accutane affects weight, blood pressure, heart rate, and what not, since I've been exercising and lifting weights, taking suppliments, trying to lose weight and gain muscle.

Accutane doesn't affect those, but can cause liver problems and immunity problems occasionally

Try a benzoyl peroxide product like "clean and clear". They work if used once a day before bed (they may bleach your pillow case though!)

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

I can only answer for myself. As a diabetic, if my blood suger is higher (above 120), my blood pressure skyrockets, as does my heart rate. This is even in a "quiet" phase---exercise makes it worse, even to the point of not being able to breathe or feeling dizzy. I try not to go high, but it can be difficult to stop class and tell my kiddos I need to take care of myself when they need me RIGHT NOW, Mrs. M!!!! I have never heard of high blood suger lowering blood pressure or heart rate. If you have a family physician, you might call his/her office with this question--it would be interesting to know what you find out. Good luck!
