I got a gift card to a spa but I really do not want to go. Is it possible to return it to the spa and have the amount credited back to my friend's credit card? I would rather have them have the money back, rather than stay on this gift card that I won't use.

PS The reason why I don't really want it is because the spa is really really far...I'd have to take at least two buses to get there...I would feel more frazzled than pampered. Plus this may sound strange to some, but I don't really like strangers touching me.

You should contact the spa to find out what their policy is on this. Otherwise, it is possible you might be able to find someone interested in purchasing it at a slight discount.

Most businesses won't refund a gift card. Why not find someone, perhaps a mutual friend who would be interested in using it and give it to them? Your friend obviously thought you would benefit froma day of pampering,. Reconsider your decision.

I feel you on this one I had a massage done and I felt very uncomfortable the lady that was massaging my back kept talking to me wouldn't even let me relax. It also felt like she didn't even do anything to me except when she massaged my head. I rather have my fiancee massage me then pay that money out again. I would give it to you mom as one of her gifts.

No, you can't get a refund. You can give the card away to someone else who wants to go. You can sell the card on the internet, or swap it with someone who has a card you want to use. They are sell/swap sites on the internet. Just google it.

I'm pretty sure that's not allowed. Every store I have purchased a giftcard from has not allowed returns.
