Hey! I'm doing a research project on guide dogs and i have to find stories about how guide dogs have SAVED THEIR OWNERS LIFES. The problem is that my computer is broken down, and I'm writing this whole Yahoo thing on my cell phone. For some reason, no search engines (google, msn, etc.) will work on my cellphone, and I can only go to direct links. So if anyone could find links to websites with stories about how guide dogs have SAVED THEIR OWNERS LIFES, or other cool stories that are "amazing", could you please post the link here?? Thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a service dog that saved me from a pitt bull attack a little over three years ago. He is a Chocolate Lab named Bosco. I have a muscle disease that makes it hard for me to get around. My legs are weak and if I cant stand he allows me to lean on him to get to the ground saftley. He also, picks things up for me and retrieves stuff I need. Anyhow, one day I was in my backyard( I had six foot fences) a neighbor who was in jail for drug dealing had pitt bulls being cared for by his girlfriend. She let one out and it litterally climbed my fence to come after me. My Lab is a calm very settled dog. I never thought (but wondered) he would defend me. Way too friendly and a bit of a sissy when it comes to pain. He got between me and the pitt and almost killed it. The game warden couldnt believe my dog beat the pitt. My dog had to have surgery over the past few years and the guy that owned the dogs skipped town when he got out of jail. It has cost me a total of 8345.16 to have my dog cared for. Broken leg, severe ear infections(ear was torn off and had to be reattached) that resulted in surgery just this past august 4000.00, booster shots, wound care and bone infection where it got exposed to air. Many people think I am nuts to pay for so much but, I dont care. It would have cost me much more if he wasnt willing to save me. How could I put him down or let him suffer when he put his life on the line for me?
