I need to know when is it a good time to eat, and sleep. I sort of have this sleeping problem. My eating is fine but my mother tells me don't eat past 8:30pm. I don't see any harm done to me so why does she say that?

Well if you eat late, and go to bed, you are not using up the calories that you just ate. As you get older and if your metabolism slows down, that's one quick way to get overweight. If you are prone to having heartburn then this is another no-no because sometimes the food in your gut can leak out of your stomach if your sphincter doesn't close tight, thus stomach acid can leak into your esophagus and give you heartburn or acid indigestion, which can easily be mistaken for chest pain. This heartburn can also keep you up at night.

The best way to eat is to have more frequent, smaller meals (as opposed to fewer large heavy meals) and to exercise and eat a balanced diet. I know, sounds like old and boring news, but it's truly the best way.
