how do i deal with my parents?

My boyfriend is 19 and a freshmen in college. I'm 17 and a junior in high school. I really like him alot and so do my parents but they think he's too old for me. He's my neighbor and since my parents found out that we like each other they actually forbid me to go to his house so i have to sneak out because thats ridiculous. He has to come over to my house and my parents dont leave us alone ever. My parents are ridiculous and i dont know how to make them understand that I am almost an adult not a two year old.

Not to be a smart alec, but you aren't almost an adult. You've got a lot of learning and growing to do. Your parents are just looking out for you and doing what they think best. There is a tremedous difference between high school junior and college freshmen. Trust your parents right now and they will learn to trust you. They probably already do, but aren't so sure about the neighbor boy. Just take it slow. In a few years, two years between you two will be nothing, but right now it is. If this relationship is important to you, let it grow slowly and be open with your parents. You may be surprised by how much more lenient they will get over time.

well, you are almost 18 but here lays the problem...you still live at home. They probably realize that they don't have much control over you anymore and this is there last hope of "control" Their little girl is all grown up, its hard for any parent to except. Just try talking to them, civily. Like an adult and maybe they will start seeing you as one.

He is not too old for u that age difference is totally normal.But your still young dont make any rash decisions cause your parents r only trying to protect u.When your 18 thats different again but u still live under your parents roof.Good luck

My mom was the same way but i'm younger than you.. I just kept seeing my bf at places besides our houses, eventually your parents will see how you truly feel and get over it.
