I have had a few bugs and one bus. I really like them.....the only problem I have had is keeping them cool.

What kind of aftermarket stuff is good for extra cooling. I am wondering if there are any good aftermarket fans mainly, and maybe extra oil cooler? Thanks.

My engines are usually not stock. 1776 or 1835. Mild cam with dual carbs.

I've added oil coolers to both of my water-cooled V-dubs and it made a pretty noticeable difference on both of them.

You could also use decklid pops to tilt your decklid out a little bit. It does break up the "closed environment" but the increase in air flow over the roof of the car makes up for that and it will help to keep the engine a little cooler.
