as a christian we are always learning to become better people by following the words of Christ and could always use some reinforcement from other believers. Help me out with a scripture. where in the bible does it say that satan will use people to turn away others from God and to cause doubt or confusion through manipulation and deception? yes I am paraphrasing, so please provide any scriptures that you may have relating to that. I am also looking myself...thanks

Good luck with this. I know that I have read it several times throughout the Bible, but I can't remember off hand what exactly the verses are. I will get back to you on this. As far as the scripture that someone else quoted, it is very easy to take things out of context. When referring to a particular verse or group of verses it is necessary to take in what was going on when it was written, who it was written too, why the person who wrote it was writing this, how it applies to us....etc.

The Bible holds out a beautiful hope for the future. There are many scriptures that can build your faith. Reading and studying the life and MINISTRY of God's son Jesus while he was on earth is very encouraging and faith strengthening. These accounts of what Jesus did while on earth give us a glimpse of what he will do for mankind in the near future as King of God's Kingdom. For myself I started reading the Gospel accounts(Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John). Other scriptures that build our faith are: Revelation 21: 4, where Jehovah God promises: And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. John 5:28, 29, where Jesus said: Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, Psalm 72:12-16 There are also many scriptures that show that the teaching of hellfire is a myth. The fact is God does not punish people in hell. The Hebrew and Greek words translated hell, refer to the common grave, not a place of fiery torment. And the Bible clearly shows that when a person dies, they cease to exist, they are not conscious of anything —Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10, 1 John 4:8, Psalm 146:3, 4, Romans 6:7, 23. There are so many other scriptures that can help you to build your faith and not be in fear that it would take too long to mention here. The point is to start reading the Bible every day and if you don't understand a particular point or scripture, ask for help to understand it. Jehovah's Witnesses offer free home Bible study programs to help people learn the Bible and understand the Bright future that awaits us.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15
For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light. It is therefore nothing great if his ministers also keep transforming themselves into ministers of righteousness. But their end shall be according to their works.

1Timothy 4:1-3
However, the inspired utterance says definitely that in later periods of time some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to misleading inspired utterances and teachings of demons, by the hypocrisy of men who speak lies, marked in their conscience as with a branding iron; forbidding to marry, commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be partaken of with thanksgiving by those who have faith and accurately know the truth.

John 8:44 -- Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

John 10:10 -- The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Satan's aim is to steal, kill, destroy, and lie to you. Stay firmly rooted in God's Word, prayer, and make sure you have trusted Christ for Salvation. God's Word says "greater is He who is in you (Christ Jesus) the he (the devil) who is in the world.

Peace to you friend.
