You say no! If you are new in the school and have made a friend, you don't want to mess that up. Also, you don't want to start out with a reputation of a girl who dates her friends' boyfriends. Try to just be friends with the guy and maybe later, when you are settled in and can really see who your friends are, you can date him.

Unless you like not having any friends, the answer is NO! If he only dumped her 2 hrs before he is likely just playing you to make her jealous and if you go out with a friend's ex-boyfriend it will show you are not loyal to your friends and likely will not make anymore female ones for a long time to come.

Give it time and space and if you still like him in say, the Spring of this year and she has moved on to another fella, it will likely be ok.

i had the same problem and here is what i did. well first i told him no, i dont really think that it would be a good idea to go out with you, cuz my friendship is valued way higher than a boyfriend. im really sorry but, that would ttly wreck my friendship with "whatever her name is". then i think he wouldn't take it too seriously. he will understand. when i told my friend she thanked me a lot, and now we are still best friends. the guy moved on and we are all really good friends. if u like the guy, just act as though you are best friends, but DONT flirt too much. or else he will like you even more. i hope this advice works for you!

Say no to the guy. At least, if you care about your friendship. Also, if he's going to be THAT disrespectful to her, (breaking up with her and then asking out her FRIEND two hours later) then he'll be that disrespectful to you, too.

It depends if you are truly good friends or not. If is a my friend that I'm close with, I tell him to go to hell. But if is not my friend that I'm close with, and I like him and feel he is worth my time I will give it a chance.

A good rule to go by: Don't date your friends exes! True friends wouldn't do that.

Just say no!

Anyone who jumps in relationships between friends isn't hinking about relationships. He's getting notches in his belt.

Remember, boys come and go . . friends last forever.
