I would first think about why he became your ex in the first place. If you still have unresolved issues I would make sure everything is resolved before you get back with him.

I would say the answer is no. This guy is your ex for a reason. No matter who broke up with who originally, something bad had to have happen for the relationship to end. You WILL fall in love again, however If you do get back together with this guy, you may never get a chance to spread your wings and see what else is out there in life.

My ex and I spent a lifetime of breaking up and getting back together. Even now we are married but have been separated for 2 years. We still love each other but realize that it takes a lot more then love to make a relationship work.

Depends on why you split up in the first place. In general, I see hardly any reason why it would work out the second time, when it didn't work out the first time.
Don't waste your time clinging on to someone you love, just because you love him. There are plenty other loveable people around. Keep your eyes open and don't be afraid of letting other people into your heart.

1) If you left him... I would suggest you remember why... Don't just look at the good times... you left for a reason, remember that as well...
2) All that having been said, If you left but now you feel you didn't have a good reason, Sure, it's way o.k. to take him back..
3) If on the other hand, he left you... then that's his choice to take you back, not yours.
- Yes, I know the feeling of loss sucks... you feel it on both sides, it's totally natural.

I don't think so. There is a reason why he is called your ex. If you dumped him why do you want him back. Obviously you can do better without him. If he dumped you take the satisfaction of rejecting him and move on. Again you can do better than him, there is a reason why he is your ex.

First if he is not with anyone and if you are not with anyone. Then explain it to him and even if you don't get back together because he doesn't feel the same way at least he knows.
