It really depends when you plan to get married on style.. For those sizes full skirts and velvet tops are always the best, they are slimming dresses.. but those are more geared to fall and winter weddings.. Try to stay away from sleeveless and low cut or two short in style they will make them look heavier.. What I would really do is take the heaviest girl and go shopping. Have her try on tons of dresses you like and go from there.. Good Luck and congrats!

I agree with KB - that's a great idea and could look really nice. However, just so you know, those sizes are not "plus" sizes - the average woman is a size 14!
When I got married I had bridesmaids sized 5, 7, 15, and 17. It was a summer wedding, and by some good fortune we found a style that worked for each body type, and was available in all the sizes.
With KB's suggestion, someone who suited it could have a strapless, another shortsleeved and scoop-necked, etc. - all based on body type. I saw this previously in wedding photos and it looked incredibly classy.

I would suggest NOT calling size 10, 12, and 14 a PLUS size unless you want to hurt them. Plus sizes start at 18!!!
Now, for the REGULAR dresses for your bridesmaids, go to a seamstress and take your gown with you. Ask for suggestions on dress styles and fill her in on the bridesmaids' figures. Better yet, take them with you. Come up with 2 or 3 designs and select one. With a seamstress there will a custom-made dress that doesn't require costly alterations. Any bridesmaid will appreciate that!
Congratulations and good luck.

Have them all wear dresses out of the same material but in different cuts. Your busty bridesmaid will look huge in a dress that will look good on your plus size bridesmaid. If they are all dressed in the same style it will be tacky and uncomfortable because their differences will stand out in a unsightly manner. Best to have the plus size in a lined, straight cut, full length or mid calf and a light sheer hip length over jacket. For your busty Maid of Honor go for shoulder exposure with a strap around the neck and tapered waist with a short sheer over jacket. The jacket for the third maid should be a length in between the 2, sleeveless dress, tapered enough to accent her figure but not show it off. OR you could forgo the whole dress thing and put them all in white tails, top hats with scarf on them in the wedding colors as well as their cummerbunds in silky scarf material. You will be the only one on stage in a dress! Beautiful! Just a thought.

A halter top is good to minimize a large bust. I also wear a size 14 and I do not have trouble finding beautiful dresses that fit. But I would stay away from materials that cling and from accents on a dress that draw attention to the things they may want to hide. For a good selection of dresses, visit davids bridal and eden bridals.

I recently got married this last summer and I had four bridesmaids 2 average size and 2 plus size. I chose a high empire waist cut that was floor length and sleeveless. All of my girls looked beautiful. An empire waist dress can really look good on any size.
Congratulations, and good luck

I'll second Riss's suggestion of Alfred Dangelo dresses. I've heard good things about that and the dresses I've viewed online are very nice!
I told my bridesmaids that they WILL and DO have a choice of bridesmaids dresses. I just told them that it has to be solid blue and I have final say on if I want it for them or not. I just let them know I value their input and want them to wear it more than once so start looking and let me know if you find anything. I also gave them a few links to some nice bridesmaids dresses.

10-16 is not THAT plus sized...
A-line dresses that have wide straps (for a real bra) and that are modest in the decolletage area are excellent for all sizes of women, especially plus-sized. Also ask them if they are OK with sleeveless or not (some plus sized women are ok with showing their arms and others, not).
Many people suggest using those "separates" things (separate tops and bottoms) when you have plus sized bridesmaids, but I HATE the way those look- it doesn't even look like a real dress!
Also make sure your church is OK with the syles of dresses you choose- some do not allow strapless, or have other restrictions...

Halter necklines look nice on any woman of any size. For plus size women, I suggest an A-line dress. Empire waistlines are awful for large sized women, especially those with a large chest - it just makes them look pregnant (I should know, I'm a size 18 with a 40DD and I stay away from that type of waistline). Good luck dress hunting.

I had bridesmaids ranging from a size 2 (with double d's) to a plus size. We decided on a 2 piece sleeveless style with rouching in the front of the bodice and ankle length skirts. The rouching (folding pattern) was very flattering to all body types. A shawl can be added if they are uncomfortable with baring their sholders.
