If that seems to be happening, it is because that is part of a prophecy in the book of Revelation. It foretells that soon all governments will completely turn against all religion, and shut it down. Turning against Christendoms holidays will only be the beginning.
Revelation 17:15-17___"Then the angel said to me, The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages.( All aspects of religion) The beast and the ten horns( world powers and governments) you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire. For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast their power to rule, until God's words are fulfilled."
Soon after this, the battle of Armegeddon will begin.

This country was built on the separation of church and state. It welcomed everyone, no matter how or what they believed, to worship freely. Now let's let them. Let's be a little more tolerant of someone who believes differently and give them the space to worship as they please. This is a moral issue and should not be governed by law.
For those things you don't like about this country, you have a moral obligation to step up and do your part to change it.
Are you trying to say that because there is not prayer in school that everyone is murdering. And the lottery funds the general fund of your particular state. That is a moral problem? You would punish those that can handle themselves for those that might spend too much on gambling.
Go get a good education, put yourself in a position to help other and do some good for this country. It is needed. Also learn to spell, type, and check what you do before you hand it over to others. Present yourself in the best possible light at all times and expect that from others. You will change the world.

This nation was not built upon God's word, it was built on Enlightenment principles from the 17-18th Centuries (in fact the majority of the Founding Fathers were Deists, not Christians, and were responsible for the religious establishment clause in the first amendment).

I say Merry Christmas. human beings are forgetting what Christmas is about. that's about the beginning of Christ, the Savior of humanity. Why do you imagine that the U. S. has been this kind of success as a rustic so a procedures? because it replaced into in accordance to Godly values. One u . s . lower than GOD. you're taking that away and that's basically one u . s .. One u . s . compares to not some thing if it would not have God on that's area. If the u . s . a . would not end banning prayer and Bible's in college, some thing undesirable's gonna take position. As for offending human beings, why might want to Christians (human beings of the same faith because the Founding Fathers) supply up their rights to make way for human beings from diverse international locations, with diverse religions? Praying in college won't be able to offend Muslims, or Buddhists, or all of us else! I have a chum who extra a Bible to varsity once, and instructors yelled at him for it. After the instructors were performed yelling, a Muslim toddler stood up and reported "Why am I allowed to carry the Koran to varsity, yet he's not allowed to carry his Bible?" the finished ordeal basically extremely makes me mad. And if I ever artwork someplace and they strive against to make me say satisfied holidays extremely of Merry Christmas, i will supply up and tell my boss Merry Christmas.

Why do you think the government should be out there promoting one religion over another? If the Jewish people or Islamic faith was dominant in this country, you would be first one demanding that you not have to look at other people religious icons in public. Not everyone in this country is Christian and not everyone was when the nation was founded, unless of course if you conveniently wish to ignore the Native Americans who stretched all across North America, not just in a few colonies on the beach. Christian ministers who are just charlatans who pretend to speak for God and who mobilize Christians to be haters (just like Islamic clerics) try to keep their flocks stirred up so that they will be more obedient to them, not God. God will survive, even the phony religions that have been formed to blaspheme Him as we have in America. Islamic clerics are doing the same thing to God who is known as Allah by Muslims. Chill out, you are just a sucker to false prophets.

Nobody is trying to cut down God. However, some of the talking heads of the Christian "right" are trying to make themselves look like victims. This country is predominately Christian. I'm a Christian, but I don't want the government in my religion and I also do not want to force my beliefs upon anyone else. However, there are people who want to make everyone believe the way they do. This country wasn't founded on that. We have religious freedom. Not only can you choose which deity to follow, but also, you can choose to not follow one at all.

Separation of Church and State. Not everyone believes as you do and it is important that our government respects all people. This nation was built on the backs of people; only some were and are Christian. Thinking that the whole of the nation believes in your God is beyond narrow minded and plain wrong.

becuase when the nation was "built" there was one religion and that was all they knew. no there are more religions than one in america. it is not fair to run a country that way. as with everything, stuff changes and that causes things to change around it.
i am sure that *if* you had proof this would not be an issue. since you dont they will remove one religion from a country instead of adding about 20.

I don't see the gov't trying to get rid of God and his holidays. Christmas and Easter are both federal holidays, and there's probalby a few other religious based federal holidays as well. Our head of state claims to get guidance from "his heavenly father" rather than his earthly father, a former president also. Officials are sworn in on a Bible, and the oath ends with "so help me God". "In God We Trust" is on our money. Public proceedings often being with prayer. Strongly religious folks make public policy on a number of matters. So where's the beef?

Yes, sad but true, our forefathers lied to the NAtive Americas, wrote words on paper they violated, took things from them and murdered them, sometimes with blankets from Small Pox victims.
