The sentence is 'She___ into the room quietly so that no one would hear her.'
I have to complete it with one of these words, either 'crept' or 'wondered'. My first choice was crept, but seeing as 'to creep' already implies to walk very slowly and quietly, I thought it was a pleonasm. So which word is best? Why?

"Crept" as the rest of the sentence implies stealth.
Wandered means casually, not caring if she was heard.

I read the sentance again and crept would be best wondered means that she wasnt sure where she was going, but she crept in knowing where she was going to be quite

Use crept or something else like snuck or stole. I assume the alternative word you meant was wandered which is totally wrong for this sentance. Wander implies kind of aimless movement or almost accidental entry into the room.

Crept fits the context and tense much better than wandered.

Crept. To creep implies you are moving quietly.
And you misspelled the second choice or the second choice is just horribly incorrect. "Wandered," it should be and that word implies you have no true intention where you're going, you're just moving.

I suggest ... "She considered creeping into the room quietly so that no one would hear her, but thought better of it and wandered off to the bar to have a drink while she waited for her lover to emerge from the room".
Romance, suspense, alcohol, maybe even sex after a few more of those drinks ... beat that combo!

I would go with "crept", but keep in mind, the other choice should be "wandered", not "wondered".

quietly is an adverb describing the verb Crept... (creep) one would creep quietly not necessarily wonder quietly

Crept implies control - she doesn't want to be heard
Wandered implies going in kinda willy nilly - not thinking about it
